Power Passenger Seat Stuck

Hey guys. Bought a 2007 E350 recently. The car is super clean, and super nice, but the power passenger seat doesn't work correctly.

When I try to move it forward or back, it starts to move only on the right rail. The left rail does not work at all. It starts to pivot a bit on that rail. I put Silicone/Lube to break it off in case it was stuck and no change.

I did check the track, and don't see anything that would obstruct it. I was thinking of pulling out the rails, but when I went behind the seat, the bolts are covered by the seat and of course, I cant move it forward.

The rest of the seat moves exactly as it should. Any ideas?

Wada bummer----I'd try pressing(all) and holding a number(1 or 2 or 3) on the L memory button---does the seat either move for and aft past the previous point!!

Its physically stuck, wanted to see if anybody knew how to remove it? any hints? Is there a separate motor for the left side that may not be working. Any specific access point underneath which will help me lube the track or clean the track better.. etc

No, each seat has it's own for\aft hall sensor motor with shaft---somehow the seat has to come out or leave as is!!

Try harder to remove the rails!!

Sorry, for clarification, I meant, is there two motors, one for right rail and one for the left rail of the passenger seat.

One motor for the fore and aft motion, see attachment for seat removal.

My problem is I cant reach or unbolt #2 in the diagram above. Those bolts are covered by the rails. Is there another way to do this?

Can you raise seat to highest position and inspect underneath?

I can, but it seems like the rails have a covering going over them.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-2009-ME...-/191756272236 click on original listing to view photos this will give you an understanding how motor interacts with frame, may not be rail.

I spoke to my mercedes tech, and he mentioned that the issue may not be a motor or blockage, but more likely a broken frame. Is that a common thing?

Remove front bolts, then see if you can somehow turn rod to each side so seat manually moves forward to access rear bolts. Mouse over post 10 link to see rod inside rail.
