My car starts right up and stays running but the cluster panel is off. I mean the car starts and the blinkers work from the outside, the radio comes on the inside lights come on but the entire dash board is off. I have started the car over 10 times and ran it but the dash board stays off. Anyone have any idea what this could be or what should I do?

Check f52 @ front SAM (engine compartment). If fine, remove for several minutes in an attempt to reset if this fails you will need to remove cluster to check internal ribbon cables & circuit boards.

No, he means F52 in the front SAM panel (engine compartment) There is a fuse panel in the front engine compartment, drivers side, close to the firewall. Its got a black cover on it with a slide lock on one side. F52 is the fuse number, located in that box.

I had this issue before on the exact same car. If I'm understanding you correctly, the car works and runs just fine, just the instrument cluster is dead so no speedometer/rev counter.
There were no other options for me other than to take it to a authorised MB mechanic and have them order the part (blanking on the actual name) of the onboard computer. Set me back 1100 US dollars, but I now have a fully working car.

thanks a lot,I looked under the hood and on the driver side front close to the dash and found a black box with fuses in it but I didn't see a f52 fuse I only saw like a 25,50,75 nu fuse or my fault I should look at the numbers that the fuse is in for f52 to see if its blown or not am I correct and am I in the right box under the hood?
