I have several. What's your specific question?
Covercraft is pretty much the sole manufacturer of all car covers now. Anything you see will be a re-branded Covercraft. I used to think they were all different manufacturers (like California Car Cover, etc.) until I met the head guy of Covercraft at a Jay Leno car shoot special for TV.
If you want to know which material then check the attached .pdf file.
Names like Noah, or Sunbrella, etc., are just names of the fabric by the company that makes the fabric (e.g., Kimberly Clark, etc..)
Pick a fabric that works for your application and then find a vendor with the best price.
fwiw, I use Weathershield fabric which is overkill, imho.

I've used car covers on my cars for the last 20 years, but only for outside sun protection (or if I'm putting a car up for a while). I always buy the lightest cotton product (that folders up the smallest), they are usually the easiest to handle (but again I only use them for sun protection).
I've bought my last 5 from Big Sky Car Covers (they sell numerous brands), their service has always been very responsive and the pricing more than competitive.

Find the fabric you need for your purpose (the fabric names are also the trademark names used by the maker of the fabric itself) and find the best reseller (like Big Sky or California Car Covers, etc., it's all the same product.)
Weathershield fabric is produced by Glen Raven Mills (and so is Sunbrella fabric); Noah, Block-It, Dust Top, and Evolution is produced by Kimberly Clark, etc...
But all these fabrics are sewn into the covers by one company: Covercraft. Covercraft has pretty much the entire market covered

I agree with what has been posted above. I like covercraft.
But I also bought a Wal mart special a couple of years ago for very occasional use on my then S500. It was a simple car cover made of Tyvec and cost about $60. It is now my favorite cover and I use it on my E550.
It is waterproof, breathes, blocks the sun, packs up tightly, lightweight, etc. It is worth a try!

Covers
Covercraft has great covers and they have a clearance outlet online. If you don't find your car it is worth it to call. I got a Beige Flannel indoor cover for my Vette for $50.00 with the Girot's Garage logo on it. also got the highest level of UV outdoor cover for my CLK real cheap as well.

Just a word of caution....Be careful putting it on and taking it off. With a freshly washed car, the body is dirt-free. Once you have driven a bit, road grime and other contaminates adhere to the body surface. Putting a car cover on a "dirty" vehicle can lead to annoying scratches in the finish and mucho swirl marks.

hyperion, the fabric is important because you choose the fabric according to how you plan to use the cover and in what conditions and situations. Did you read the .pdf file I posted above? Weathershield is a fabric name. Covercraft is the manufacturer who sews the material into a custom fit for the model of car. It costs more because of the fabric and its intended use (indoor, outdoor, UV, no UV, rain, no rain, etc..)
I dunno, but I guess if one is concerned enough about their car to cover it, then they probably would want to do it correctly
