There is a way to increase the user partition to get more storage for apps. If you have the software from your device you can flash it with SP Flash. If you do that you have to edit the ebr1 and ebr2 files before. Look for some ebr editors on the web. That would be the easiest way to edit these files.
On my device there are 3 GB available for apps

Chris said on the previous page(s) we can order saying we want the newer model, and he'll ship them when he has them. Also from the screenshot on the previous page, he probably now has them.
Also there might be a newer model on AliXp (call it v3 if you want): still a Android 7.1 build, but with a 8-cores CPU instead of the quadcore.

You're re-selling models from the original company, Carsara, if I'm not mistaken.
Now other Chinese brands are selling similar products (there's tons of sellers on AliXp, having different videos on YouTube), with the same (or copied) software but more beefed-up hardware. RoadTop for example seems to sale an 8-core CPU one for US$491 shipping included.
Of course it's not a v3 from Carsara; thus I said "call it v3 if you want" to make it clear it's not the same hardware specs; definitely not an official tag.

 

Haha..No! They actually sell ours that I have put so much work into. They are just a reseller. Not a maker. And they have NO V2 for that amont. Might be the V1 then. They dump prices just to sell And they DO NOT offer ANY support. Almost 100% of their customers comes to me for support and help as soon as they get them...

And yes, our V2 is 8 core...

 

Ok.. I must have missed the post somehow saying they were already in. Chris, when you have a moment can you post a change log of the new features? I guess I'm not following what's been changed from the previous versions...so there is a mph option I see. The slight translation oddities have been fixed as well? I'd like to purchase but I don't even know how to go about that..PayPal? Cost of the unit? Shipping to 67212? Group buy discount?

 

I'd like to know this as well as I need to determine for myself if it's worth upgrading mine. So far it seems MPH, Farenheit, and additional menus. A few other things I would like to know:

1. Is audio switching working consistently? This seems to only work once during first boot. If you go back to OEM radio and listen to radio, the next time you launch for example youtube or google music, the sound will not auto switch so you need to go back to OEM radio and switch it to AUX.

2. Is mirroring finally working with Samsung phones?

3. Is the car image on the main screen still of a CLA or does it now corresponds to your car model?

4. Is there now auto dimming? If not, does the brightness at least have a far better brightness (a little harder to see display during daytime on mine) And is the adjustment easier to access now? A quick toggle for brightness maybe?

5. Is there split screen mode (display 2 apps at the same time)? This is an android 7 feature.

6. When using the phone app, is it still only outputting on the left speaker?

7. Is bluetooth streaming consistent? On my phone, I only got it to work once on mine

8. Is the GPS stronger?

9. I see there is now a recent app button on the top right of the screen. Will this allow you to close apps? This would be good for freeing up ram when the device starts to slow down due to too many apps open.

10. Is the selection list in the mainscreen configurable? I want to add additional apps to this so I don't always have go to the apps list to search for my go to apps.

11. Are the apps in the apps list auto rearranging? I notice this on mine when I go to the apps list, the first 8 apps is always changing order.

12. Is the USB still low powered and support hot swap? I notice on mine it won't recognize anything I plug into the usb unless I restart the unit. It seems it will only recognize what's plugged into the usb during boot up.

Sorry if this list is a bit long but these are the things I would like to know on V2.

 

is there any difference if you have the HK system with the amplifier and (I assume fiber optics)? Does the signal still run through it correctly?

Also waiting for a change log and hopefully some real world demonstration of the new features that address the issues in the first model. Are these ready to ship? Still working on bug fixes?

 

I'm sure Chris is a busy man, I wish communication was a lil bit better, as I checked this thread multiple times this weekend. I don't get it... maybe I'm wrong, but im getting the vibe he Doesn't seem to motivated to sell these things... All I can think is what if I had my dash torn apart and had a question this weekend as he prides himself on customer service... I would have had to half *** the install just to put everything back together to get to work this morning because he's been a no show on the forums...
