Intake port measurements for walnut blast adapter.
I need to get my E350 CGI walnut blasted. I have everything except the little adapter that sits into the port and accepts the blaster nozzle and vacuum.
Does anybody know where I might get some measurements for the intake port on the M272.985 engine please?
If I can get them, I should be able to adapt one of the freely available designs for BMW engines.
On the other hand, maybe I just print one of the BMW ones with an oversized port side and shave it down to fit?
What have people done?
Thanks
Using a quality synthetic engine oil, top brand fuel (premium additives) and occasional fuel injector cleaner should be enough.
I have been lead to believe that you are correct for the regular M272 engine.
I have the CGI which is slightly different, and I believe it suffers from this problem. I can't find any material that specifies the types of fuel injection in each variant. I must check WIS but it's on the other computer.

See the traces where my equivalent seal #105 was sitting on the intake manifold.
Below : Guesstimate where the seal #105 was seating at
This is the equivalent of my seal of #105 if it were for your engine
