First off my vin WDDHF9HB3EA905805

was looking at shocks and strut components. Noticed B4 or B6 on fcpeuro but b6 out of stock and b4 kind of pricey for shocks imho (rears not to bad). Not sure of the quality.

Not sure what others run on there E250s, probably only a couple of owners on the forum. Would like input none the less on what brands and specific ones people run or do ya order stock from MB.

the B4's are pretty much stock shocks, while the B6 are a stiffer sportier shock, and if available B8's are even higher performance and usually matched with sport springs.

bilsteins are about the only shocks I'd put under a Mercedes. If FCPeuro is out of stock, you might try some other vendors.

Quint, assuming you can use B4 and B6 Bilstein ( should be ), get front B4 and rear B6.
Quality is good and price is decent too.

ADD 1 : depending on ur mileage, you may need new bump stop. Get original one. The rear one you probably can't get original one as it is not sold separately and including rear damper top mount

Since OE ( my car ) is by SACHS, try to get SACHS one if you need one. Nope, MB does not sell rear damper top mount stand alone, must buy 1 set with damper.

I have an E250 sport and replaced with OEM B4 on the front, fcpeuro has a nice kit with everything. I changed them at around 85k miles. The rears seem to still be fine.

I believe the AMG 'sport' suspension is closer to the B8

Thanks for the input everyone. My E250 has the "sport" suspension. I will look into the threads posted for reference. Just over 85k miles right now and with being 8 years old starting to look at getting ready for alot of things that start showing there age soon.

the other brand you might consider is Boge/Sachs. They make the Mercedes OEM shocks, and while I've not looked a ttheir aftermarket lineup in awhile, they had milder and sporty shocks in the past... Years ago I put a set of Boge ProGas (I think?) on a car, and they worked really well, they were 'smart' shocks that were soft in normal driving, but stiffened up if you drove hard, which was a nice compromise.for that car (a Jetta GLI I beat the $#@$ out of in the 90s), They also lasted a LONG time, much longer than KYB shocks I'd used on the same car which would be bouncy in a year.

My original dampers are by SACHS which variant I dont know.
They are too much useless body lean at high speed ( mere 110MPH) , albeit "polite" lane change, that is why I get rid of them as it is dangerous for me.

Dampers slow down the spring rebound and stop the car from bouncing after a bump or dip. They do not reduce body roll, that's done by the antisway bars. The whole system of springs, dampers, and sway bars needs to be well balanced or the ride is awful

What's the MB part number for your vin? I put Bilstein B4's on my E350. They come with a lifetime warranty so no need to buy it from FCPEuro. I got mine on Rockauto. Much cheaper. You have to either search by the MB part number or by the Bilstein part number.

B4 at those 110 MPH when changing lane, the first few centimeters of its compression, its resistance reaction is better than my OE SACHS, hence it has less body lean. Its high speed valve is the one responsible.
At low speed, the comfort to me is equal to my OE SACHS, but the road noise lower for B4...I don't know why.
I have decent experience with dampers, coil overs and sport dampers + springs non coilover . I can tell you, dont worry about sway bar, choose damper first as simplest and when suitable for the car, it can do wonders for cheap.

Dont plan on going 110mph any time soon although wasn't paying attention this morning and crept up to 90. Even the 250 4banger will cruise nicely at that speed. The average freeway speed in my area is 70-75 traffic allowing, in the morning 80 for a good stretch of it (speed limit is 60 or 70). I like to keep it around 70-75 if possible as thats a good fuel mileage point, over that and it starts going down some. If I could maintain that for the whole commute would be getting high 40s mpg, still happy with low 40s though.

Yeah, they're $137 on Rockauto plus shipping, but there's a coupon code on retailmenot.com all the time that will take off 5% which kinda covers shipping. It's $182 on fcpeuro with free shipping. I got those same struts over 2 years ago and they were $125 back then, guess inflation isn't too bad on struts. I would just get the strut mount on FCPeuro, comes with the bearing, I think Mercedes sells it separately as two different parts. I would also do springs, mine was sagging on one side which is why I replaced the springs. I had also done shocks and springs a while back on the rears so the car is actually pretty decent over bumps, springs right back and doesn't feel like it's bottoming out.
