tranny codes p0730 and p0732




Any advice on how to proceed?




Tranny issues are never good to ignore.
Try to reset the faults from built-in TCU to have a chance it will perform better.

To answer your questions, I bought trans kit from FCP Euro and brought it to local indy (non-euro) and let him change it.
MB (0730 not listed):
0729 The gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping. (6)
0731 The gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping. (1)
0732 The gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping. (2)
0733 The gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping. (3)
0734 The gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping. (4)
0735 The gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping. (5)

The super fancy Siemens transmission computer has many levels of resets with learnings shift adaptations.
The faults you got are genuine true concern... they are not false faults because your driving experience confirms the goofy shifts.
Try resetting TCU with your simple scanner for peace of mind. Dont expect a miracle in this case.
Double check your coolant tank to see you have no traces of ATF MAYO MIXED in there (radiator ATF heat exchanger failure).

-- or get a quick conductor plate worked on by a certified shop with MB tools.

This makes the adaptive transmission relearn how to shift from a factory setting. If that doesn't work, then consider the more invasive ideas above.
