03. Suspension Arms + bushings of REAR suspension and subframe.
This 10th year. Already done all bushings for arms & knuckle for the rear, end of 2023 but not yet for the rear subframe 4 bushings + 2 for DIFF. Will do it along with 01
Post is here : https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...hing-tool.html
04. HVAC all of the 3 hoses and renew compressor oil ( not 100% of the oil ) and replace desiccant drier. Will do it along with 01.
For those wanting to do the same, I am sharing what I will be replacing and prices in USA ( not all ) from an MB official dealer website for your budgeting purpose.
M276.9 3.5NA will be a bit different to my M276.8 3.0 Turbo, but many both engine uses similar parts.
My mileage today is only 40,000KM or 25,000 miles, but 10 years of age is what I am using as the alarm bell.
This list does not include regular parts like engine and tranny mounts which I have replaces twice , so 3 sets including the one on the car when new. This is wear and tear comfort item.
Brake pads and rotors also not included, these are wear and tear item. I have replaced my rotors front ones, looks so ugly from 30 laps track use. Brake pads for front, I am on a 2nd replacement.
Parking brake shoe done already, because they look ugly from rust.
Exhaust hangers the 4 cheapo rubber mounts, also not included. This is wear and tear comfort item. I have replaced all 4 in 2021.
Dampers/shock absorbers and bump stop is not included. these are wear and tear item. I have upgrade my damper to Bilsten B4 and B6 and all bump stops worn out much from 30 laps track use and
regular use + my humid tropical weather.
All suspension arms at the front and the sway-bar links are wear and tear comfort item. They are not included in the list. I have damaged my sway-bar links from 30 laps track use.
Prevention of oil seepage into wire harness from camshaft electronic solenoids and cam speed sensors, are preventive items. Not in this list. I have replaced my 4 electronic solenoids, but not the cam speed sensors.
Tires I have replaced the the 3rd time Sept 2023. 1st one came with the car, at year 4. 2nd one gone bald at the track. 3rd one has reached 3.x years and that is my limit by time. Now 4th one is 4 months old, under 2,000KM.
This list is to prevent catastrophic failures from hoses or plastic pipes carrying vital fluids : Engine Oil, Tranny Oil, Coolant and Brake Fluid.
Some component in this list , made it to this list, because when replacing X & Y, sometime A & B need to be removed to gain access and some A & B items have bolts and gasket of 1 time use and have to be replaced.
Some differences between RHD and LHD car, so best top use your VIN when using EPC for P/N verification.
Mine being a NOT popular/common engine and chassis , EPC screw up CAN happen. My true P/N as per on my hose item 280 is not detected by EPC when I use the VIN,
but will appear when I use only chassis code W212.065
.
.
I must use CLS400 to find a hose "missing" from my EPC drawing. LOL.
.
==================
Item 200 is not listed below. I have bought it earlier in 2022 for back up when I cut the original one to install pressure sensor adapter and decided to re-locate the sensor.
So item 200 is new now, since 2022.

ENGINE LUBRICATION PART 2- ENGINE OIL PAN & FUEL HOSES
Very likely the oil pan plastic baffle replacement ( also its O-Ring ) will be done together with the 02 program in 2025 and 2026, depending on my mood, but 2026 is the dead line. 02. Engine, the bloody bas-tardz el-cheapo 2 of coolant o-ring crossing over timing chain cover and must remove entire timing chain system yada yada
The reason being it will be easier and not wasting time doing sealant twice.
Also the plastic chain guide of oil pump will be replaced too, that item 120.
The fuel hoses will be this year program.

Transmission Oil Lines

PCV / Oil Separator System & Fuel Vapor Vent Pipes
In 2022 I bought the VENT LINE, but I only use the duo-check valve part of it. Mine has a tiny bit of reverse leak already. This dual chec valve is the thing holding turbo boost at intake manifold so that it WON'T ENTER crankcase, but will let oil vapor from oil separator and fuel vapor from cannister to enter when engine is not boosted aka under vacuum.
.
I have replaced this Item 100 in 2022 along with the purge valve. The purge valve become a tiny bit noisier, I hate that.
The o-ring on this VENT VALVE lost its color...LOL. No leak but I hate the look of it.
.
.
Will continue.........................

Reason: typo
Dang, I got whacked big time by MB Indonesia for hose #120 and hose #10 , like 250% - 300% compared to USA,
.
My local prices has about 10% mark up from my Indie, whom I buy from him on purpose to give him support as I DIY so much now.
My country sales tax is 11% ( VAT ). Component import duty can range from 10-20% at importer level.
So if I see my local price higher than say 40% compared to USA price, that is fair.
.
I am still waiting for more parts prices and special indent time for the 02. Engine, the bloody bas-tardz el-cheapo 2 of coolant o-ring crossing over timing chain cover and must remove entire timing chain system yada yada
So far I have bought all 3 timing chain tensioners only.
I am until now is still doing simulation on how I can replace certain DIFFICULT by positions components, like the turbo oil feed and return and the coolant too.
The engine oil cooler gasket is difficult too : https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...r-painful.html
I need to imagine what other components must be removed in order to access what I want and the gasket or bolts or seal which some are 1 time use...they must be made ready ahead of time or else
I may need to wait 30 days if I do not have them on hand as pre-caution.
The bast-ardz el-cheapo coolant o-ring. 02. Engine, the bloody bas-tardz el-cheapo 2 of coolant o-ring crossing over timing chain cover and must remove entire timing chain system yada yada..... This I am postponing to year 11 or 12th.
I am buying the parts this year, already ordered, except special tools I need to buy from USA .
.
----------
. See item 5 unique special order situation. If by end of 2024 MB Germany still wait for other orders to complete the minimum order, I will buy it from USA. https://www.mbpartsexpress.com/oem-p...ain-2760502316
I sure hope in MB-USA it will be ready stock at some of their dealers.

--------------
The KILLER bast-ardz 2 of cheap seals which made me suffer doing this and waste so much money too soon.
----------------------
Must be prepared to have extra oil pan bolts .
.
-----------------
This is in the name of gaining access for the job
.
.
No choice, must have in hand these o-ring and seals, because I need to undo them. Item #220 and #160 is pre-caution, preventive.
.
.
Must buy these eventually before doing the job 02
I think I have covered all points for the 10th year & 11th or 12th year program
I want to take a closer look at the oil pan plastic baffle which is also engine oil suction snorkle .
A276 180 18 51 .Oil suction pipe with baffle . Item #60, EPC page : 18-015 Oil pump
I want to see the weak link, the seams of the joint I marked red/pink.
.
.
To test for moulding integrity for no leak. a vacuum or low pressure 3 PSI air will do. If ever you guys need to drop oil pan and better inspect this plastic BUT critical component.
==================
Something interesting for the PCV system of M276 3.0 Turbo. There is one test we can do actually, I just discovered today playing with it a bit.
It has internal check valve for its bottom side connection.
For label 1, it is to intake manifold and there is a duo-check valve there provided by special hose set.
For label 2, that is to turbocharger intake side after air filter, Bank 1 side , right side.
The YES and NO represent the internal check valve
I wonder if the internal check valve got stuck in OPEN mode, what actual effect will it do ?
More oil vapor into intake manifold label 1 ? Because then the centrifugal oil separator at the exhaust camshaft end ( Bank 1 ) job is then not effective ?
Yep, that small plastic at front V bank for sharing coolant flow already arrived.
Item #90
The only coolant circuit BUT is made of plastic for engine coolant and charge aftercooler coolant, which I do not yet buy and not in my list for 10th year, are :
01. Engine coolant radiator, which its L and R sides are plastic.
02. Charge cooler air to water Heat Exchanger, which its top and bottom is plastic. This is the one sitting in front of my engine's main pulley.
Charge cooler radiator, I believe it is 100% all aluminum.
