Compatable Performance Parts for the E400 W212 M276 engine
Hi Guys,
I Have a 2015 mercedes E400 W212 (specifically the J-Spec M276 3.5 bi- turbo), so far gettings parts for this model has been slim to none, I can confirm that even though it is not listed the BMS Dual intakes work, below are my mods thus far:
1. Eurocharge Stage one tune (rated at 480HP) soon to be stage 2
2. BMS dual Intakes
3. custom fabricated down pipes (not yet installed)
4. FI Valvetronic Exhaust (not yet installed)
5. Intercooler (which i am having problems with and hoping for assistance if possible)
For number 5 I see that there are 2 possible choices which is a Wagner or CTS intercooler.
For wagner it list the below compatability for the M276:

It would be interesting to see if Weistec could upgrade your turbos? What is the complete model number for your car?

Hi I live in the Caribbean.....see attached. Not interested in upgrading the turbo's because im pretty much at the limit of the engine with the mods i would like to do on this bad boy, however I am curious about the M276 3.0 vs 3.5, from research the 3.5 has much lower boost than the 3.0. also any thoughts on the intercooler compatability with it?

The interesting thing is we have the same transmissions. I've always been a little concerned that a tune might damage it. My tune takes me to about 420hp.

You also have an E400? Depends on the amount of torque they can handle, MB says 500 but research indicates higher i believe, cant wait to install my other mods, my exhaust just arrived so hopefully next week i can get the exhaust and DP's installed....

I could not find the intercooler in the EPC when looking in any of the logical places, AIR CLEANER AND ENGINE CHARGING or INTAKE AND EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. But using the part number for the IC from the links you provided, I found it in the Group 50 RADIATOR. What the heck?

Don't know. I'd call Weistec. Your car is spec'd for Japan. I don't know if the parts are interchangeable as far as fit is concerned, but the part numbers for your turbos are different than other E400 3.0 liter.

Caribbean is a tropical region. I am a bit hotter than your location, say by 3 - 4 Celsius.
Do watch out for coolant temperature when you do those power up mods.
Our E400 cooling system is NOT so good when driven hard in a tropical country. Your 3.5 Turbo boost is lower than a 3.0, hopefully standard as is the cooling sytem, it is cooler when modified.
A member who is also from Jakarta-Indonesia done some mod to his CLS400 same engine as mine 3.0 Turbo to be like 400HP there about and his radiator
is not sufficient to dump those heat, when and if driven hard.
My own standard 330HP, all I need is decent hard run 2 laps at 34C, on a 4.1 KM short track, 120C coolant temperature,
1st is decent hard lap by my friend 118C coolant, 2nd is pit stop driver change to me and a slow cooling down lap, 3rd is my lap, I push a bit harder....120C coolant temperature already

I do not see suspension upgrade on your list.
If your suspension is standard SACHS , get Bilstein B4 for the front and B6 at the back, no need B6 at the front. No need sport coil springs.
If your damper is still standard, it is no fun swiping a long mild corner at 180KH/H or faster with SACHS standard dampers....it is downright awful and scary.
Surely ultra high performance summer tire suits your climate, just like mine.
Since you are on an island country, I think tight S bends are plenty, get a rear DIFF, Automatic Torque Biasing (ATB®)) type, no need clutch type.... you will gain better traction A LOT in those
super tight corners.

Hey bros @JettaRed and @S-Prihadi would this pretty much be the same as our engine capability? are internals different from regular m276 vs a amg m276 or is it just a tune?

C43 engine also a 3.0 Turbo, but the engine model number is M276.823, its turbocharger is different P/N compared to my M276.820 3.0 Turbo.
Some other parts are different too but I do not know all of them.
I think yours is M276.850 being a 3.5 turbo. Your chassis code is W212.061 yes ?

C43 engine also a 3.0 Turbo, but the engine model number is M276.823, its turbocharger is different P/N compared to my M276.820 3.0 Turbo.
Some other parts are different too but I do not know all of them.

Me not intending to be rude. but this air filter arrangement is HOT AIR INTAKE , not good for the engine.
The original air filter ducting system uses the positive cold air from OUTSIDE the car when at speed of approx 20 KM/H or higher.
Typical sedan front part and the air pressure from moving air. We want our engine breathing air to take outside air and at its highest pressure.
The air intake system because it is not under pressure ( before turbo ) , plastic is a good choice as it is heat insulator ( sort of ).
Using metal will make it hotter in engine bay.
Why don't you get a good OBD2 data logger, and log your intake air temperature. I am using Banks Gauge iDash.
Log the Intake Air Temperature.
Here is engine bay ambient temperature for us in the tropics.
My K thermocouple sensor is at the LEFT side of the aftercooler if we seeing it from inside the car.
