Bilstein B4, cheap and awesome

I have abused this Bilstein B4 at the track, it is good enough
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...helin-ps4.html
Now I am on B4 in front and B6 at the rear, tires is now Michelin Pilot Sport 5, as the PS4 is probably on its end of life, I can't get them.
The trip I made for snakey road driving gave me the chance to experience pot hole free roads, very little traffic in front of me and nice long and short corners.
The trip is here : https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ad-i-seek.html
I planned the trip to be on Wednesday, which is working day, so less traffic at this popular week-end holiday destination.
Below is a video of a simple quick driving and not super fast high G cornering.
I was playing with fast steering direction change for the heck-fun of it...... and the Bilstein B4 does not disappoint.
The Michelin PS5 on this trip is already about 3,000KM old and has passed its "slippery when-new-state" which usually is up to the first 1,500KM ish.
I hope the youtube video compression won't distort much the video quality, which this video is already a 2nd edit.
The steering command to actual directional change is very impressive for such a cheap damper and more comfy than the OE SACHS.
The OE SACHS you can not ever have this kind of fine fast minute lane correction capability. It will be more boat like, body roll without the car changing direction this fast.
The OE SACHS is a piece-of-SHI-ET and scary SHI-ET if I do fast lane change at 100 MPH or faster, even at simple 5-8 degrees correction.
The obvious B4 good steering response one would be at these video minutes :
These 3 seconds, top image and bottom screen capture.
--------------------------
If your eyes is fast enough, you can see in video I was avoiding this rock from the car "shake".
--------------
This one is smooth-quick lane change to avoid the bus, my left tire has to cross over the white line end of lane limit, no choice and I was fortunate there is tarmac there ( entry to a resort )
and not grass or rock or ditch.
.
After this bus, the next left corner also shows the steering response from B4 and PS5.
I am loving Bilstein B4 more than ever for its better than OE comfort and quietness and its very respectable sporty driving behavior in a Grand Touring way, not harsh sport car type of ride.
I still do not want B6 at the front, I do not want to loose the comfort, only the rear is B6 , that I am fine with.

My E350 Sport RWD has about 90K miles, and I have been thinking about new shocks. I wondered if the B4 is the correct one as far as ride and performance go and now I know. It was very nice to see that actual driving review, including the tires that I will also purchase.

Aha, E400 Wagon for rear spring is air spring, never steel spring...wow, I never know that.
Ur model is 212.267 and suspension code is 677
=========
Your Rear Damper A212 320 47 30 is also used on these Wagons
It is just that E400 is never sold in high quantity , as such it is often forgotten by 3rd party vendors.
Adding to this misery, USA 2014 E400 is actually a hybrid 3.5NA and mot 3.0 Turbo like in 2015. So it is confusing.
And, yours being a WAGON and a 4-Matic, that is even more rare
...I mean the Wagon part.Here is the B4 or B6 P/N you need :
W212.267 E400 Station Wagon
Rear Damper A212 320 47 30
If B4 24-194136
If B6 24-191128
Front Damper A212 323 59 00
If B4 22-197665
If B6 35-191117
REAR - B4
.
REAR - B6
FRONT - B4
.
FRONT - B6
The Wagon rear damper seems to be different length than the sedan.
If E400 Sedan and 4 matic.
W212.067 E400 4-matic sedan, with 677 steel spring suspension and year code 804 , 805, 806
Front Damper A212 323 59 00 <<< same as your Wagon
Rear Damper A212 320 46 30
If B4 24-194112 <<< same as E400/E350/E300/E250 Sedan RWD
If B6 24-166874 <<< same as E400/E350/E300/E250 Sedan RWD

Remember, Excel search is very specific, no space and with space makes a different.
Bilstein wrote MB part number with spaces, so you got to follow that.
Use : 212 323 59 00
and not 2123235900

This is B6 based on new Bilstein P/N 22-309822 <<< I can't find this number on my 2018 file
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...17#description
Replaces Bilstein : 35-191117 ( as per 2018 file ), 22-309822
For MB P/N : 2123235800 and 2123235900
