opening cover

You want to free the top from the sticky bottom:

seam area between top/bottom
seam area between top/bottom

I used an exacto/scalpel blade to slice up silicone sealant.

Nope, I don't think so!

highly integrated circuit
highly integrated ceramic circuit

This nice circuit is too modern and reliable.
MY'14 W212 uses solderless pins.

Since your ABS module is already opened up, can you kindly take lots of close up pictures for our database.
The higher the resolution the better.

I never expected it look like that.

I was assuming it will look like Cali's unit, but Cali's unit is ESP Premium, below :

I wonder how mine looks like inside. I checked my ABS sticker it has ESP PLUS while yours is ESP Basis

Thanks

the white board looks fine without loose pins

Under that top layer is another circuit board where everything and 4x MOSFETS connect to.

-- How does the other side looks like... any access?

If you can't gain access to poor connections, you won't be able to fix them and may need to source a replacement control.

You need to find the poor junction causing your issue. Inspect everything closely with magnifying lens.

The other side of the board #2 ( assumed ) is in post #1 , below :

So if double board, 1st to 2nd layer can't be acessed with ease

Assumed 1st layer board, better resolution, he gave me in PM

Good catch MS!

It looks like there are failure opportunities found on the coil side - It gives you a chance for a fix.

There is a hidden PCB with couple capacitors sandwiched under the solenoids.

VALVE SIDE:
each poor junction need to be made reliable
each poor junction need to be made reliable

TOP SIDE:
top side has a few exposed junctions
top side has a few exposed junctions

POWER MOSFETS:

4x Mosfet need good solders

mosfet are fastened to metal and pins doldered to separate PCB... this means solders are holding the PCB = vibration stress! Inspect closely.

I wish mine like cali's,
This basis has an aluminium wire which difficult to solder.

It' s a bounding method

Most common failed from the aluminium wires...
Some say it's ok to replace with common cable or wire

I think you'll find the bounding wires to be of good quality. They are welded, unlikely to come loose. "Never say never" double-check each one is secured. Not a primary concern here.

The solenoid side has some nasty looking junctions...

So, how is the final outcome ?
Soldered broken soldering already....and ABS OK now ?
Who did the soldering ?
