Which splash shield

2010 e350 w212 m272 engine, I got a hole under the engine so I want to replace the splash shield so no rodents or squirrels get any ideas… I’m searching which part fits my car and there are 2 different ones both saying they fit which makes no sense, I been googling it so I don’t buy wrong one but both saying they fit… I’ll post the pictures
This says it fits
This says it fits
This also said it fits
This also said it fits

I think they both fit. On mine there are two splash shields that overlap in the middle. The top picture in your post goes right behind the front bumper area. The second one covers the engine and part of the transmission. Just replace the one with the hole.

this is a Mercedes
it uses both of these shields.

one is forward
one is rearward

the ones you need are what's missing.

I knew an old European Mercedes tech back in the day.

He called these the pants. First thing you need to do when you get under your car is "take the pants off"...

3 splash shield for mine.
Two of the plastic shields you showed and the steel one ( most important)

These 3 will not protect rodent entry. Rodent can enter from near suspension arm side.

Rodents can teleport through time, space, and splash shields.

Its probably best to remove them and locate the part# that is stamped on them. I was looking around to price out new undertrays on my W204 and noticed theres a few different part #'s, I guess depending on the engine, RWD and 4matic models.

In the photos above the first one is the front most tray, the second is actually the tray that goes over the transmission pan. They look similar to the W204.

Mine are all beat and damaged, ran right over a large street sign that had blown over during a storm. I havent bothered replacing them yet. I have however replaced alot of the metal clips and screws that mount them to the car. The threads of the screws rounded away and wouldnt hold it secure. I used both Genuine Mercedes and Febi brand and they both seem the same. Then for the tray over the transmission there were two different style clips that press up into the body, not sure if the W212 is the same.

The torque spec for the undertray screws is 12.5 ft lbs.

Looking at the pictures in OP’s post the edge of the second shield has only two holes when it should have four like the first shield has.

I believe there are 8 fastener locations on the tray under the transmission.

Info i'm looking at is for W212 with M273 but should be similar to M272.

I flipped the 2nd photo in the 1st post.
