My 2014 E350 hasn't had its subframe replaced. While replacing the broken rear springs, I too
k these pictures and was wondering if my subframe is bad enough to qualify under that class action. Thanks!
Send a boroscope camera from the front bushing. There is a zone there where dirt will stay, thus it rust from inside out.
I too was afraid seeing u guys in winter salt country having such an issue, albeit me in the tropics with no salt but high humidity.
So I inspected mine.

I called the dealer a few months back without any pics, their response was we'll have to see it ourselves. Maybe I can try again and this time ask to send pics, but in the meantime @S-Prihadi I'll give that a try. Somewhere around here I have a boroscope.
Any suggestions to clean this debris inside subframe? I saw video and some guy used water from hose to fill subframe and then water came back out with the debris..wonder if water stays trapped inside subframe and then that will create more rust instead? I know there are drain holes.. Would appreciate your guys input on this.. I used a small screw driver to pick some of the dirt out and then put fluid film inside.

My suggestion is to not waste your time. It is a warranty thing (for any owner). Get it replaced. I spend a fair bit of time under and around my cars and did not see the subframe failure coming in the slightest...then one day I was crab walking down the road....

Yes especially if qualified to MB's extended subframe warranty. It is a safety issue after all, no point risking yourself and let it get worse.
