Just ordered 2017 E400, question about wheels
First of all, hello everyone! It's nice to finally join Merc family here.
I just ordered a fully loaded 2017 E400(luxury exterior) with beige designo interior for my mother. We are very excited about this new car.
However I'm a little confused about the wheel. On the brochure, it say it comes with 18 inch twin-spoke alloy wheels, but on the picture it's a different one. And my dealer insists it will be the same one on the picture.
Unless my understanding of twin-spoke alloy is wrong, it doesnt make sense. IMO I think the one on the picture doesn't look good on the car. Can any confirm if this is "the" twin-spoke alloy wheels?
Many thanks

Yeah you're looking for the Amg twin spoke which you won't be getting ... Those are technically twin spoke in that picture and I agree they are hideous

They have the advantage now since you finalized the deal and now are coming back to the table
They may give you lower price on 2016 wheels and tires ... But you will get no credit for the wheels on your 2017. You can try and sell them

It's always worth asking but a dealer that doesn't give a penny up is no "dealer" at all and no one I'll do biz with

P.S. I could be wrong, but I believe they are offering a 17" wheel on the new W213 Luxury model. That's the one I would get for a more comfortable ride.

The E Class sedan is MB's "bread and butter" car. They sell zillions of them and deals are ALWAYS there to be had, with the possible exception of when you want to be the first kid on the block with the brand new model. If it were me, I'd hold off a bit and let some of these cars hit dealer showrooms. Look at the car in person, check out the wheel selection--which may include other choices by then--and then shop your local dealers for a good deal. There is no reason you should not be able to get at least a 10% discount off MSRP, later this year. Best of luck!

20" wheels on an E Class, are like 5" stiletto heels on a woman's shoe: The shoes look great when she is sitting, but hurt like hell when she wants to walk. The wheels look fantastic, but destroy the ride of the car. Both are ridiculous, IMHO.

AirMatic is a fantastic option. I had it on our 2004 E500 and it was amazing. I
currently have it on my 2015 S550 sedan. No matter what wheels/tires you have, your car will ride better with AirMatic. That said, a car with AirMatic, 17" wheels and conventional tires will have ride quality that is DAY AND NIGHT better than an AirMatic car wit 20" wheels and run flat tires.

Is the E400 Sedan being imported?
My dealer tells me that the E400 Sedan will not be imported -- only the wagon in E400. If you want V6, get the E43 (according to him).
