2018 E43 production start?

Hello all, I've seen the order guide for the 2018 E300 and E63 but nothing on a 2018 MY E43. Any idea when it is supposed to start production? I'll be in the market for a new car this summer and was wondering if the timing would work.

Production starts June 1st. If you order now you will be lucky to get a July build. I got June 10th build for mine.

I ordered a 17 in Jan. I'm looking at a May delivery! Nuts! The one I drove at the dealer was dealer traded. They haven't had another one since. Any suggestion that the E43 was going to be a hard sell were way off the mark. If anyone is expecting any sort of discounts they are going to be sorely disappointed.

Thanks for the reply fellas. I'll head down to the dealer and see what I can find out. I'm cross shopping it with a 540i and although the 540i is a more inexpensive way to get into a six cylinder, German, mid-size sedan, there's something that keeps pulling me back towards the Mercedes. Not sure I'm ready to pay full MSRP on a car though Even on my Porsche 911 I was able to get 6% off MSRP on a new model. I guess we'll see.

Car sales are way down due to trucks and SUVs. I would shoot for 10% off. Heck, I got 8% off my Macan last may.

I will definitely be driving as hard a bargain as I can and see where it ends up. I just test drove one today and for me it's a superior product than the new 5 series. That being said the sales person I did the test drive with said there was nothing in his system for a 2018 E43 yet, but would let me know as soon as he can place an order for one.

Just posted the latest W213 order guide (including E43 info, but most of the pricing info is TBD): https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ml#post7114050

For anyone interested...

I placed an order in early February for a late April build. I checked with my sales person in March for an order status and was told that my 2017 order had to be "transferred" to a 2018 model. As it stands, the 2018 is scheduled to be built in the first week of July for an August pickup. Arghh!

My concern is that there seems to be some package / option differences in 2018 according to the Preliminary Dealer Ordering Guide. The D.O.G seems somewhat vague and incomplete at this point...

.
Your sales agent should be able to send you an PO inventory report from Netstar that shows your E43 with options along with the scheduled build decade and status.

2018 E43

I want to order a 2018 E43 for European Delivery in September but my dealer told me that I wouldn't be able to pick up a 2018 until later in Fall that they extended the 2017 production. Not sure what the truth is when the 2017 E43 stops production and 2018 starts. Anyone else have information? I called the ED help line and they told me 2018 E43 has a release date of mid August and I shouldn't have a problem with September delivery. Do I have a dealer that just doesn't know their MB factory schedule?

I just got my PO# from MB today.
Looks like my process for ED has started.

I don't know about European delivery but the 18 E43 goes into production June 1st. My dealer has given me my build sheet with the commission number. The build sheet shows all the options plus standard equipment, date of order, production date and planned delivery date.

Your salesperson is misinformed. That said, there is no price for the car or the options.

I ordered the sedan. My wife debated the coupe but in the end she also ordered the E43 sed. I have a June 10th build for mine and got confirmation on hers for July 10th. I have the build sheet for both cars but no prices.

Is the E43 available to order as a coupe for 2018? Or just the E400?
