Headliner Rattle Noise
Hello everyone. I picked up my CPO 2018 E43 from a dealership in southern CT this past April and love the car so far.
The other day I noticed a rattle coming from the headliner. I think it's between the two panes of glass in the roof. If I push on the headliner at that spot the rattle goes away. It comes back almost immediately after I let go. I assume I have a loose fastener in that area and plan to remove the headliner to investigate. It seems to happen 75% of the time and is worse over rough roads and bumps but sometimes I even hear it on smooth pavement.
Has anyone been able to get this type of noise covered under the CPO warranty?
Does anyone have the process to remove the headliner? Also I'm looking to replace the fasteners that attach the headliner to the roof so I don't create a new issue with a broken or worn fastener. Can someone provide the part number for the fasteners?
Thanks in advance and I appreciate your help.

Factory warranty should still be in effect unless put into service before 9/2018 or over 50,000 miles. Factory warranty expired, less than 6 months since purchase I would speak to Service Manager before disassembling.

Thank You. I'll give that a shot. It will be a local dealer, the dealer I bought the car from is several hours away. Unfortunately the original warranty ran out before I purchased the car. The car was delivered in September 2017.

Thanks Konigstiger. Judging by the diagrams the noise must be coming from the sunroof since there aren't any fasteners in the "bow" between the two panels of glass that could be rattling. I still haven't found a time I can get the car into the dealer. I'll update if I am able to get into the dealer to have them take a look.
