MBUS hasn't said anything about a launch date for the E Class. E 350's have been built. E 450's can be configured in Netstar. Nothing allocated yet however.

I'm not sure what Netstar is, sounds like a dealers only build site? I am curious if the E450 All Terrain has an option to upgrade the Audio System or if the standard 4D Surround Sound is the only option?

2016 C300 4Matic traded in for a 2022 E450 Coupe
Its more than that but basically, yes, that is what Netstar is.

E 450 AT is not in the system yet. The sedan is. No change in stereo options

Don't know if the specs for US cars will be identical but you can go to mercedes-benz.co.uk and have some fun with their configurator. The base E200 seems to show a dash without hyperscreen.

Wouldn't the German configurator be better showing all options. UK and US both have less options (more standard features) but are not the same.

Not sure. Wasn't really looking to configure the entire vehicle. I'll wait for MBUSA for that. Just looking for an interior shot of a W214 dash without hyperscreen.

Mercedes-Benz.de has all of the options. Even thought the site is in German, my browser automatically translates each page to English. Ignore the prices because they are significantly higher than in the US.

Yes I do LOVE the one in the AMGs... especially this one in the pre-FL W213s... just awesome. Not a fan of the capacitance-based ones in the FL W213s... Sorry, I am sorta old-school that way.

Unfortunately, the ship has long sailed for the one you pictured.

But I totally get what you're saying, it took me a while to like them.

I like the touch pads as well. They are easy to clean. I do not like the mechanical thumb rollers. For me they are hard to use and hard to keep clean because they easily clog with sand and dust.

You mean the blackberry trackpads? Ya those are better than the full capacitive wheels from MB in my opinion. It is not perfect though, I do however hear reports of the trackpad fail, personally had a loaner A with one side not working.

Does anyone have any further information or updates about the rumored one-year delay to the availability of the W214 due to Bosch battery shortages?
I'm encouraged that there hasn't been any further news about this over the past few weeks so I'm hoping that this may prove to be unfounded with rollout beginning in the next eight to ten weeks as originally indicated.

I think we are in the middle of a delay, MB just doesn't want to admit or announce it. The 2023 MY of the e450 was taking deliveries about this time last year and the order guide hasnt even been released for the all terrain version yet for 24.
I was initially expecting to place an order around October, and receive a 24 all terrain around Feb or March of 2024 but it's looking more like a may/June delivery now. I don't expect to place an order until about January now, and I would imagine it takes anywhere from 4-6 months once the order is placed to take delivery.
I'm honestly considering another vehicle all together. If I can't get the order going by January I will likely just get something else.

I actually have an allocation for an E450 all terrain reserved thru my dealer and they told me to check back in December and January

But if this delay is, in fact, for real, it truly sucks! 😱😢😱😢
