It's a shame we don't get a colour matching lower dash and door cards for the brown and macchiato beige interiors like in Europe or the press vehicles

I was excited to order one after seeing all the early articles and the press vehicles but after reading the MBUSA DOG my excitement turned into sheer let down, I hate all the black surfaces. I do not know what they are thinking or why we don't get what we saw in the press vehicles or other world markets will surely be getting. (including the luxury package) MBUSA killed this one for me with their decision of having the steering wheel, belts, and all surfaces being black only. It seems all you get to choose is the color of the seats themselves and not the rest of the interior. huge disappointing fail

I received a call last week from the local Mercedes dealer in Dubai, offering me the opportunity to book the new E-Class. He quoted a rough price (without knowing any specs) for an E300 at AED 450,000 (roughly US$ 122,500).
This seems rather pricey to me, although I have to admit I do not at this point know the options so not fair to comment solely on what he offered.
I received a call last week from the local Mercedes dealer in Dubai, offering me the opportunity to book the new E-Class. He quoted a rough price (without knowing any specs) for an E300 at AED 450,000 (roughly US$ 122,500).
This seems rather pricey to me, although I have to admit I do not at this point know the options so not fair to comment solely on what he offered.

It isn't all markup. Many countries have 100% or more taxes and initial registration fees on cars. I purchased a new Toyota Corolla in Denmark a few years ago. The total price including taxes and first year registration was over $90k.

I passionately dislike the aluminum lines that run through the wood trim, like those ancient pin-striped suits. Looks cheap and artificial. The brown wood thus to me, is not an option at all, and I was never a fan of the black ash wood (which my car is equipped with).

I have the opposite opinion, I wish my S-Class had the aluminum fanned wood, I think its very pretty, has a very yacht-inspired look.
