EQB 300 and 350 In the Wild
The EQB models have begun to ship. We just received four, a mix of 300 and 350 models.
If you had one sitting at the VPC you'll likely see it soon barring any issues. These moved quickly from VPC release to delivery.

What dealership are you at? I have an EQB300 ordered through MB Fort Mitchell in northern KY.

No, there wasn’t any dealer markup applied to my order other than the $900 ceramic coating expense. I placed my order back in late June for one of the 300’s that had already been built and allocated to them. The mountain gray in your photo looks exactly like mine (including the wheels) and I was hoping that was my future vehicle. But, alas, it is not. ☹️

MSRP for your EQB 300??

Here's a test of highway range of a EQB 350 in Norway conducted in winter with temps around 0C (32F):
TL;DR
@ 90kph (56mph) = 332km (206 mi)
@120kph (75mph) = 234km (145 mi)
I'm gonna conclude that the USA EPA ratings are spot on for real world mixed suburban/city/highway.

If EQS SUV 4Matic is priced at 125k, the EQE 4Matic SUV is probably closer to 90k. Would definitely consider a EQB with 300 mile range at 70k

Mercedes/Mazda/Genesis
They will with the next-generation EQC which will be built from the ground up as a fully electric vehicle. The EQB (as well as EQA and Euro EQC) are more so stop gap cars to help with emissions and credits.

Helpful video
Obviously range varies wildly with speed in any EV, and one can go much farther in mixed suburban/city driving than on the interstate.

Yes, but with a significant caveat: one must have signed a binding purchase agreement prior to August 16, 2022.

Vehicles Purchased and Delivered between August 16, 2022 and December 31, 2022
If you purchase and take possession of a qualifying electric vehicle after August 16, 2022 and before January 1, 2023, aside from the final assembly requirement, the rules in effect before the enactment of the Inflation Reduction Act for the EV credit apply (including those involving the manufacturing caps on vehicles sold). If you entered into a written binding contract to purchase a new qualifying vehicle before August 16, 2022, see the rule above.Last edited by billgeffert; 09-18-2022 at 08:46 PM.

Critically, please note that all EQBs for sale in the USA are assembled at the Mercedes plant in Kecskemét, Hungary. The new final assembly location requirement went into effect the moment the law was signed, which is why sales contracts signed prior to August 16 are 'grandfathered' with the transition rule referenced on the IRS website. Going forward, the EQB is completely ineligible for the revised tax credits. This could change in the future if Mercedes moves final assembly for both the vehicle and battery to North America, but moves like that take years to execute.

I'm not sure which paragraph you are specifically referencing?

Why does almost this entire forum jump to the conclusion that MB SA's are liars or snakes? MB buyers are typically repeat customers. You don't get that by lying to everyone who comes through the door.

Agree
Totally agree. They were never responsible for federal tax laws. The only person to blame for this idiotic mid-year game changing law is the President of the United States.

And yes, the mid-year change was totally STUPID and confusing for everyone. I suppose mid-year tax law changes are coming next
