Dealer Markup
Are all dealers charging over MSRP on the EQS SUV? I ordered one awhile back and it was available for pickup today. When I ordered it I was told we could possibly get MSRP on the car (given there was no pricing yet), but now the dealer said they will charge $10k MSRP. Is this typical?

A lot are, but I also think a lot aren't. I ordered mine from a dealer that told me no markup from the beginning. Local dealer told me markup but when their first car came in the first day and I went to test drive it, he was willing to sell me that car at MSRP if I was ready to drive it home. But it wasn't the color and options I wanted.
I would play hardball with your dealer...car prices are going to come down fast. did you see Carmax's financials for the last quarter?

Also I will add there are many EQS SUV on Autotrader and CarGurus. You can call around and make an offer if you find something close to what you want.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I know dealerships need to make a profit to pay the overhead and survive but customers will remember who charged over MSRP. The Houston, Texas area has 5 large MB dealerships so one can enquire at all 5 places to see if they will make any type of deal or not.

Call around, dealers in Chicago are asking up to $25k over.
I've told them absolutely no way.
I'm working with a dealer in Michigan on a custom order and they are doing MSRP only. I would 100% not pay this "Market Pricing" mark up right now.

Motorwerks in Barrington did MSRP, I have purchased from them before, so not sure if that had something to do with it.
