If they make an EQS AMG SUV, the range would be 233 miles. I calculate this using the same range discount the SUV carries over the sedan, which is also very similar to the same range discount the Tesla X has over the S.
My guess is a performance SUV with 233 miles of range was considered too little range to deliver a good customer experience. Personally if that was the EPA range and then you drove it like an AMG is meant to be driven, I would experience range anxiety a lot. Bear in mind that you are supposed to charge the battery to 80% in day to day us, so that drops you to 186 miles of range. And then if you drive like a hooligan you might get 133 miles out of your 80% battery.. That's when it gets too dicey for my taste.

I see no valid reason why MBUSA couldn't add an AMG interior options (steering wheel, trim, seats, floor mats, etc.) for our market. It's clearly available for other markets.

My guess is that this market is too big, the take rate would exceed supply. The AMG package is constrained on GLE's. No point in offering an option you can't source.
