Just got a ELW 7yr/ 75k miles from Jeff Jackson of Tafel MB. He emailed me the contract details and a quote as soon as I contacted him. I called him back and gave him my credit card and the deal was done. My local dealer was going to rip me off and charge me an inspection fee on top of an inflated price for the ELW. Highly recommended.

Don't know why you would go with a third party provider when you can get 3 yrs and 75K Mercedes extended warranty for less than your 2 yr quote from Assurant Solutions. As long as you are still under factory warranty, you can get better deals from the MB dealers that people have used on this forum.

Emailed and talked a few financial managers in the area. Jeff Jackson from Tafel Motors and Jay Singer from Mercedes-Benz of Cherry Hill have the best price. I went with Jay in the end.

My 7/75k expires in a couple of months, is there an MB warranty beyond this?

Since it is expiring by time I don't believe so. Mercedes Benz doesn't offer extended warranties beyond 7 years time. The only slight exception is via the CPO program where they allow up to 3 years beyond the CPO sell date as max (and CPO can be up to 6 model years old so that creates the possibility of a 9 year warranty window for Mercedes, but a user could never access this 9 year duration).

I'm drawn to a third party warranty because I think the MB dealer would be less likly to void it if you put on headers or did a tune... anyone have exp ??

I just purchased a 7 year 75k warranty for my wife's new GLS450. Essentially giving me three years of additional coverage after the 4 year 50k factory warranty expires. I believe the "list price" for this warranty is $2700 but I received a substantial discount on this policy from Jeff Jackson of Tafel Motors, Louisville, Kentucky. I bought a CPO 2013 E550 and extended the warranty two years and unlimited miles for $1,650. So unless there is something REALLY different with the 14's, I think you didn't get very good deal. Talk with Jeff Jackson who is mentioned countlessly in this thread. You should be able to cancel the one you bought for a full refund before it kicks in, presuming that Jeff can beat the price.

Just paid $10,887 with 30 months 0 interest for my 2012 CL63 with 48k miles for full bumper to bumper exclusionary coverage including roadside and tech coverage for 7 years or 100k miles. CARCHEX. all the research i did including speaking to dealers and one independent shop all saying they have very good coverages with them and without many claims being denied. These cars are not cheap to fix so i hope i did well lol.

buying a CPO mercedes 350glk. will come with 18 months remaining on original warranty. They give an additional 1 year warranty.

I just purchased a 7 year 75k MB Extended Limited Warranty (ELW) for my 2016 E350 wagon from Jeff Jackson at Tafel Motors (jjackson@TafelMotors.com). I paid $1928 (no sales tax or dealer surcharge) which was a significant discount from the $2700 list price.

I sent an email for an ELW quote to several people listed in this thread and Jeff was the lowest quote by $200. He was also the most responsive and answered my email in 20 minutes.

This guy is incredible. Might be using him twice now. Working with him on a 3rd party warranty. You can only do Mercedes CPO for so long, then when it's done, you can't keep extending it. BUT, after you make out Mercedes CPO you can extra with a 3rd party warranty company... I will report back more later...

Last year I bought a 2 year extension of my 2014 E350 from Marc Rose at Sonic M-B of Santa Monica, Ca. Fast forward the car is gone, and I contacted the dealership to cancel the warranty. 5 weeks later I received a refund that was Fed-Ex overnighted to me this morning. The original purchase for the warranty matched what others were paying, and receiving a refund in a timely manner makes me a happy camper.

Does anyone know if these warranties are transferable if I decide to sell the car in the future ?? It would be a great incentive to a future buyer.

Since MB ELW is linked to VIN, it stays with the car unless cancelled by the owner. Same may or may not be the case for non MB warranty.

The CPO warranty extension paperwork included a form for a private sale to transfer the warranty. IIRC it asked that a copy of the paperwork be forwarded to a M-B dealer.
