The amount of work and dedication on this is amazing!
As a guy who has been in the aftermarket industry for a long time now (13+ years) I am insanely impressed with your upholstery and stitch work. Seams and panel alignment are no easy task and I applaud you!
Thank you
The actual stitching was done by a local upholstery shop.
I made the templates, he cut the leather and stitched it for me.
Seam alignment is the trickiest part, very time consuming. But I think for my fits try its coming out pretty good )))
So I noticed that earlier model G-wagons with halogen headlights had seals around each headlight (between the headlight and the headlight bezel). Newer G-wagons with xenon headlights do not have the rubber seal. I assume that the seal was intended to prevent all the water and dirt going around the headlight towards the back of the light and under the fender. I wanted that on my headlights so I went ahead and ordered 2 new rubber seals from the earlier G-wagons. When the seals arrive I noticed they were thicker and the bezel did not fit after you place the seal around the light. I went ahead and cut the small lip from the back of each seal which made the seal sit more flush against the headlight therefore allowing the bezel to fit tightly against the seal. Now hopefully it will keep some of the water and dirt out of the inner fender keeping it a little cleaner under there.

So a while back I installed brand new door checks on all of the doors, but they felt a little tight, possibly because they are brand new. So I checked and saw that 2017 G-wagon has a newer version of the door checks, they are a little smoother, looks like they are a combination of plastic and metal parts. I purchased a set of the new style ones.
** if anybody wants the original door checks that I installed on my car, used maybe 10 times. I will sell them to you. Please send me a direct message. Part number for the ones that I currently have on my car, that are brand new is: 463 720 0200. All four doors use same door checks, same part number for all the doors.
