Video is in Russian but they take an obsidian night package G63 and put a matte film on it; sound deadening all over, windshield protection film, some crazy touch screen mod; and most curiously, they show a modified door locking mech that pulls the doors shut if you fail to close that hard enough. All kinds of other tweaks in this video and some good G63 teardown p0rn. Well worth a watch; but does anyone have any idea what they are doing with the doors? New one for me.

That's crazy I can actually see Mercedes adding this as an option for the G in the future. I personally wouldn't ever want it, key less open maybe but I love that about the G.

can't believe soft close doors hasn't been an option to date. I have that on my M5 and love it.....and its a 2008 haha

Makes one wonder why the owner didn't just order the car matte black from the gitgo?

If they were planning on putting a film on the car, why not save on the extra charge for matte finish and get the matte wrap? Looks almost identicle and maybe even a bit better.

Probably wasn’t unable to secure a Magno black one or fearful of Magno paint would not hold up
