Hello,

My Sales Person called saying he has a New, Never Titled, 2020 MB G63 AMG, with Factory Delivery Miles available for immediate delivery at $2000 over MSRP. Here is the Window Sticker and Here are two photos in the showroom. Out of respect for the future owner and the dealership, I removed the VIN Number and the PO#. If it's important for someone, I have it and can share. Please serious inquiries only with proof of funds available to share. I get nothing for doing this and I don't want to waste the Salesman's Time. Only doing this to help a Sales Person out. Also I don't want create future issues jeopardizing my own future incoming G63.

I find it a little funny that on a $175k vehicle, they are adding a $2k premium. Why not just ask full retail price?
Seems silly if you ask me.

Believe me, he wanted $25,000 over. We had a long chat and this was his proposal. I'm sure for a qualified client, ready to go, that won't be an issue.

Oh I'm not saying it's an issue, I just find it funny $175k, $177k, what's the difference? Now the $25k over, now that's
where I see a difference!

The salesman is selling it over MSRP out of "principle." LOL. I hope they go bankrupt.

kind of bare bones... not very well optioned. and proof of funds??? didnt need to show proof of funds on a 400k car i bought!

Thanks to the OP for posting the offer. But the days of getting over sticker for the G are gone. given the current economic state of affairs in our country and the lingering virus pandemic. Not to mention the dismal outlook for all auto dealers. People are not banging down the doors to buy $100,000 plus vehicles of any type. I'm taking delivery of a new MY '20 G 550 Saturday, well equipped, with a 5% discount and some other concessions. Granted I am a very good customer and have been for many years. Shop around...if you can find a dealership that has the sales department open. Stay safe!

5% discount....impressive. I thought I did well. But agreed 100%. Nobody will be in a panic to get a $150-$200k SUV, especially above MSRP. Those days are coming to an end and expect that to last for some time.

When I was looking for an allocation I had a couple dealers tell me they could only sell locally since there were incentives for them doing so.

Most dealers "choose" to sell G's "local market" for two reasons :

1) Demand so far has been strong - and almost all dealers figure can sell what they are allocated to their Local Market (and that Dealer decides for themselves what that Local Market will be)

2) Selling Local Market Only in dealer's mind reduces the Risk of Purchase-For-Export (which comes with all sorts of stories from the customer) - if a Sold New Unit gets exported - that VIN pop's up on a Federal Database which the manufacturer's subscribe too - and a Purchase-Re/Export can create up to a $17K penalty charge-back to that dealer from Mercedes - and also takes a future G that model unit off the next future allocation for that dealer. Mercedes uses best effort to protect their Marketing/Pricing in Intl Markets by minimizing re-export from the US. Frankly last year the worst area for re-export was Canada because the Can$ dropped after 2019 Can MSRP was set - so Canada was the Hottest Spot so-to-speak to ****** up G's.

Make sense, and I guess a dealer likes to have models available to their local customers as well, especially the ones that are repeat customers.

Yup and they want to sell to locals who will service the vehicle there. I agree $20,000 of options but not much meat.

I now have a Red/Black, 2020 G63 AMG, New, Never Titled, with Delivery Miles at $10,000 over MSRP. This one is difficult to get near MSRP per my chat with the Sales Person (Different Dealer). I can convince them if your ready to take a few pounds off. PO# and VIN# removed out of respect to future owner and current dealership. If you need to have it, I can share. .
