GL 350 Run flat tires unavailable

2010 GL350 with a tire failure at 33,000 miles and Goodyear currently out of stock of replacement tires in the Continental USA!! I mean WTF! so cannot drive this vehicle for 3 weeks until stock arrives. This is just deplorable.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Sorry to hear your troubles. I am surprised your tires lasted 33K miles.

Forget about Run Flats and buy regular tires. If you'll get size 285/50/20 - you'll save even more.
Get this thing instead of spare : http://www.ebay.com/itm/400247804177...ht_2655wt_1344

Bridgestone run flats are better & cheaper. Where are you located? Have 2 near-new Bridgestones sitting in my garage that I'd be willing to sell. I'm located just south of Modesto, ca.

Btw, I for one am a fan of the run flats. Sure they ride rougher, are noisier, and are unreasonably expensive, but they came in REAL handy one time already. Hit a huge pothole in the middle of the country at about 1am (pitch black, nowhere safe to pull over, no cars around), which ended up bending a wheel & flattening a tire. Because of the run flats, I was able to limp home at 45 mph instead of sitting out in the middle of nowhere, waiting for a tow truck.

Sometimes the tradeoffs are worth it..

Guys.... thanks so much for the comments and ideas.
I am in Seattle.
I did some research and was told that the Bridgestone was not a run flat tire.... was this incorrect??
As far as the spare goes I will try to determine if it will fit in place to the tool tray under the rear deck lid where the Adblue tank is.
Thanks for the ebay leads... I guess I was not thorough enough...
Will send a pm to stickeygreen....
Thanks again.

I am also thinking of installing 285/50/20. Any one else have feedback on using this size on the GL350? I have been reading reviews on the Yokohama Parada Spec-x
