Screeching Brakes on the GLC
Dealer performed:
LI 42.10 - P - 065628 front brakes (replace pads, brake paste application)
LI 42.10 - P - 065058 rear brakes (replace pads, brake paste application)
Last time similar work was performed (June 2016) the problem returned within 3 weeks.
So far, so good. Morning temperatures not as low as earlier, so with time and miles we'll see.

No squeaking but it is now warm here in NJ.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
So now, after having had the brake pad replacement, I am just super happy and relieved not to be confronted by the screeching banshee that my GLC turned into each time I first applied the brakes when reversing from my driveway.
"Falling in love again..."
We're going in for a different issue this week and will be strongly urging them to provide an update on brake parts.

So far it appears the replacement pads cure the problem. Noise gone!

As of right now only four other people in the USA are in the same boat as me with the backing up sounds. Mercedes is having their top tech trouble shoot and go over things step by step with my local dealer on how to fix this. I will have my car tomorrow and they say it's 100% fixed. I feel much better getting management involved, it might've helped a lot of other people in this situation get results quicker.
For other people getting the new parts it should do the trick! If not Mercedes does seem to know both ways to do it now. Very annoying, but glad to have support to back their brand.
Attorney is negotiating a settlement offer from MB after they asked how much I wanted. Hopefully it avoids a court trial. But I'm willing to go that route too.
Still an unresolved issue and Mercedes will lose millions on this.
Has anyone dealt with Fremont, Pleasanton, Stevens Creek (Bay Area, CA) service dept. regarding this issue - can they PM me please? Wanted to see if they are now readily acknowledging there is an issue, and how long should I wait before getting in line for replacement parts?
I was wondering how you guys are doing with the new updated brake pads and rotor,
I want to update my situation
I have replaced the new rotors and pads for my front and rear, but after 10 days of driving, the noise is back.
The noise is not very consistent but when it comes, it is loud as usual.
I would say noise comes about 1/3 times.
However, I know for sure that when temp drops, it will be 100% loud noise.
I talked to my dealer, they told me that I am the first one who actually came back with the issue with the new brake pads and rotors.
Any of you guys having the issue?
This sucks.
