GLC43 AMG Comparison Specs
Found some interesting comparision specs from Car & Driver mag regarding
the GLC43 AMG, Porsche Macan and Jaguar F-Pace. Aug 16 issue gave the Macan specs and the Nov issue gave the AMG and F-Pace specs - they are:
TESTS Macan AMG F-Pace
Skid Pad .88 .94 .86
0-60 4.4 4.5 5.1
Braking 157' 154' 164
Weight 4492 4256 4421
The AMG wins out on 3 of the 4 specs and almost ties the 4th!

I am not sure why the AMG is quoted as 4.5 as it is quoted as 4.9 for the 0-60 in the UK Mercedes Benz website. Is this different based on country?

Rexgold, the better performance in USA is because we use gasoline and you use petrol, ha!
Not sure if Car & Driver pulled the numbers out of the air or if they actually did a speed test.

Good post.
suggestion. Include the x4 m40i review from C&D. Also recently tested.
Macan GTS, x4 and GLC are all similar, or near identical results in straight line. But the amg so far rides smoother and not as stiff.
my c400 lease is up in 6 mos. so far i prefer the GLC over E43. The E rear end is plain ugly and hard to over look.

Totally understand if those logistics are too much of a challenge. Remember to get the United Fleet discount.

Can anyone explain how the United Fleet discount works? Do you negociate before making the deal or present some type of certificate upon payment when picking up the car?

Details here:
https://unitedpremier.truecar.com/mercedes-landing.html
You get a discount based on the model and model year of car. For 2017 GLCs the discount in November was $500. This is likely to increase now we're approaching 2017.
From what I can tell you don't need to do anymore than sign up for United Mileage Plus, I don't think you need to attain a particular status level. But others may know more.
When negotiating I always clarified whether a price was with / without the United fleet discount.
The impression I got talking to dealers is that once you decided to buy a car you could pretty much sign up for the discount on the spot. Again others may know more.
