Cost of Replacing Cabin Filters
Living in a humid environment, I got only 10K miles out of my two filters before the smell required changing. Dealer wanted an exorbitant amount, over $200, for the job. What has your experience been, those that have had to change theirs already that is?

I replaced both with genuine Mercedes filters available from time to time on eBay -- paid about $65 for both filters. The one under the hood is a breeze; the other more challenging. Thanks to a tip on this forum I had no trouble replacing the charcoal filter (similar to a previous Mercedes of mine).

Wow, exactly coincident posts. Ok, I get your question now. You asked for the experiences of others, and I gave you mine. Perhaps some others can give the cost of their "dealer experiences."

You don't have your location on your profile which might give us some help answering your question. I don't know why you would get an odor related to these filters. Cost wise, you can double the online cost of the filters which puts you at $130 plus labor, which I expect will be charged at an hour - minimum $100. Could be over $200 if you are in a major metro area. Looks to me like $200 is not out of line.

That's a valid distinction that I didn't notice before making my semi-smart *** comment. There many duplicate posts on this forum from people who don't take a few minutes to look at forum history. I shouldn't have put your post in that category. Sorry.

So I wound up paying $160 to an independent in West Palm Beach to replace. Back issue preventing replacing myself currently (the interior one), but this is such an example of either bad engineering or designing repair revenue on MBs part, be interested to hear from others on how actually easy the interior one was to replace....
My MDX and RDX (Acura) both I could replace in 30 seconds removing a plate in back of glove box.

Same here for two Toyotas I owned for 11 years. With all the other "easy" change outs reported for other makes, it kind of sucks MB designed theirs to be difficult for the DIY'ers.
