I saw a few members ask about what to do if we have 19" tires, but nobody answered. Will the 18" spare work?

It would be bad to use the 18" on the rear wheel or any of the wheels on a 4Matic four wheel drive model. I got the kit from Modern Spare, but if I hadn't, I would have contacted a dealer in Canada to see if I could purchase the spare tire kit from them (Canada has a law that all new cars must have a spare tire)
You could contact a dealer there and see if they can sell you a kit for a 19" replacement.

I believe the Mercedes spare tire kit is the same whether you have factory 18" or 19" or 20". Modern Spare also offers one kit for all tire sizes. This works because the overall diameter is the same.

Totally agreed as long as overall diameter is the same for all tires.

Check this link, it will tell you if its ok to use
Just put the tire size

Here is another site.
It allows you to go the extra step and measure clearances between fenders and suspension parts.
https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/

Clearances will be more important with big oversized tires.

Hello,
After using run flat for all season and winter, I am getting ready to move away from those expensive tires. Read all these posts here and watched a video as well, link below. Then went on to buy the below and put it in my trunk. Fits fine with a very little push. Had to bend some floor pockets, including the fuse box corner. See the pictures for reference.

Model: 2018 GLC 300 4MATIC
Original tire/rim: 235/55/19

OEM spare tire: A1674000300, 155/80/19 ==> I haven't installed to test it, but based on the readings, it should be fine. I will take to my mechanic when I go there to switch to winter tires and ask him to test it on front and rear.

Still to buy:
Short lug nut: A0019901607 or B66470155 ==> can someone confirm it will be the right size? It is 27mm thread.
Jack: A1645840713

I got my tire today from Ebay. It fits nicely in the back and it just takes a gentle push to close the hatch. As far as storing the jack, I ordered the genuine jack from here. https://www.mercedesbenz.parts/oem-p...kit-1665806900

Where are you guys storing the jack? It looks like on the left of the trunk area on my 2019 GLC300 that there's a spot for the jack but mine doesn't fit there. Are you just storing the jack down by the left side of the tire?

Too bad the jack won't fit into that slot on the left. I saw someone posting part number A1645840713 and not sure if that will fit there.
Anyhow, it doesn't really matter as long as you can fit somewhere there.

What is the part number of the short lug nut you bought?
Also, I am not sure if we really have to buy the MB jack. As long as the weight is considered, can we use a generic scissor jack?

These are the lug nuts I bought.

I got the jack and all the tools to fit in that spot on the left side. Everything has a spot in that area. There was a panel that popped out in front of the jack that allowed it to fit in there. There's a piece of Velcro that holds the jack down in that spot that I need to find. If you watch this video you can see where all the tools and Jack are supposed to be.

Thank you. I will check the lug nut. I am able to find OEM lug nut with p/n A0019901607 here locally. They are 27mm tread while yours is 26mm. Everything else is same. If someone can confirm the 27mm lug nut will work fine for 2018 GLC, then I can get them any time. I don't think 1mm will make any issues.

As for jack, I will keep looking.

A quick question...I have located the 27mm OEM lug nuts, but it seems to have only 4 lugs and one key. I believe we need 5 lugs in total. Can you please confirm what you got? I don't really think we need a key for this spare tire. Thanks.

if its a small hole, you can pump it and keep going, larger holes hopefully can be patched, pumped and move on.
i would rather driving on patched tire vs spare. For me, spare is the last option.

What lug nuts did you buy? The jack and the lugs are the outstanding items for me to buy. Since I have a roadside assistance from CAA here in Canada, I am less worries about the jack; however, needs to have the right lug nuts in the trunk. Please let me know if non-OEM nuts will be fine as well. Thanks.

Nice, this is what I want to buy. What is the OEM part number for these 5 lugs? Or, did they come with the jack kit?

Sorry don't know the part #. Spare tire's seller added them. Im pretty sure any short lug nuts with right threads would work.
Try any store, worst case just return them.

OK, in that case, I think the closed match would be this from Amazon and I can order them.

Hi,
I ordered the same and received the delivery. But the orange caps on the nuts are missing. How important is to have those caps/sleeves? I think they do protect the thread. How did you receive yours, with or without the caps?

Those plastic caps are only for thread protection. Just inspect the threads.
