What is race start? Or you mean the "Emotion Start" when you hold on the left paddle and then start the car?
Mercedes name their lunch control as race start. New AMG GLS and AMG GLE both have TCT 9-Speed Transmission, which same as current AMG GLC and some AMG 43s. I remember only DCT and MCT have race start. I want see if Mercedes have some improve on the TCT, so AMG GLE and AMG GLS might have race start or lunch control.
Also sadly I find out new G63 use same TCT, which doesn't have lunch control. But still hope the TCT on GLE have lunch control.

Price starts at about 150K USD. Additional options need to be ordered, which won't arrive until November 2020 as of last week. Going through the additional tax process and license plate auctioning right now, not fun.
I know there are mechanical differences..., but are there any interior or exterior differences between the AMGs and the regular GLEs with the AMG packages?
The seats and steering wheel for me. On screen welcome screen and some AMG options on MBUX. My back row middle seat folds down like a 4 seater with a tablet that can control the portion of the infotainment like media climate etc plus another wireless Charger. Not sure if 450 has that.

My concern is that I know the car will wind up going thru automatic car washes and not sure if applying the ceramic coating will just be a waste of effort.
My blue collection, I highly recommend the RWE wheel option. 315 width in the rear and the Matt black paint on the wheel is so much nicer in real person. I usually change rims on all the cars. But I might keep this one on.
this has the night package right? What does the night package entail? Are all the chrome trimmings gloss black? Including the trunk? Is any of it matte black?

Here are some pictures of my wife's GLE 580. I bought her a GLE 450 in December but MBUSA is buying it back due to multiple electronic issues they have not been able to figure out. The 580 was not available in December but it was available in late March! This has 22" wheels, AMG night package, and many more options. This one is Obsidian Black while the GLE 450 was normal black.
