Just took delivery of my car on Saturday. I opened my spare tire cover to put some stuff inside, put the "hook on string" back under the latch, and when i closed it I heard a "click". Now my spare tire cover is now permanently stuck shut. I cannot for the life of me open it again. I feel like I almost broke my fingers trying to pry it open but it just wont budge. Taking it to dealer already after 20 miles on the odo. How sad.
I thought that was locked and you need a key to open it?
It was never an issue previously opening and closing it several times. That would obviously be the best case scenario...but where do you unlock it?? o_O?
Random screen shot below of trunk. Car is currently at home.
Tonneau cover wasn't put under the spare tire cover properly by the dealer when I took delivery thus the hook got stuck and couldnt release.
What a poor design if you ask me, but at least it's fixed.
I had a new harmless issue. When I opened the door my radio started playing. I keep wondering when something serious will follow these minor electrical Gremlins.
No software update yet...I’ve been hoping for one. However, I just logged into the Mercedes Me Portal and got the message below. Has anyone received this or knows what it means? Thanks!

I don't know what that means - there is no explanation in the full list of service like for most the others. I went ahead and turned it on.

Mercedes-Benz is experimenting with an in-vehicle delivery service where items are left in the back of a vehicle rather than in a mailbox or on a doorstep.
In Car Delivery is a delivery location in lieu of a doorstep or a mail box. It’s a feature that will come on with time. I think Volvo was the first to trial it from memory.
Any issues with auto start/stop? Seems mine doesn't seem to engage very long (not long enough for a traffic light) - and I've been cognizant of how much brake pressure I apply - so I don't trigger a start.

I have not had any. By brake pedal I assume you mean not activating the HOLD function? The engine may restart if you have the AC on at some point during a long stop.

yup mine will start back up to run the AC in hot weather... must confess I try leave ECO on.... but in the city, i shut it off... stop and go traffic i think is harsh on it starting/stopping the engine constantly... i would think ?

The 450 with the 48V system was designed for this kind of use - I would not be concerned with it being "harsh." It is not like constantly using a 12V starter motor.
