Initial Production is scheduled for mid-November (maybe) and 2nd round production scheduled mid-January
Mid-November has been locked down quite a while - mid-January "open" for changes - but it will be hard to find a dealer who has a unsold slot - there are very/very few committed to being built.

I just placed my GLE 580 order 5 hours ago. It all went well. One thing I discovered is that the passenger seat memory is now standard and is not a standalone option. It is still listed as a separate standalone option in the Order Guide but when they configured my order it displayed as a standard item for the GLE 580. I was told to expect about a 90 day wait. I guess this is where patience is needed.

January for a custom order placed now.
For West Coast people I doubt you will see more than a couple before the end of the year.

I ordered my about a week ago. I was told it should be a late Feb. delivery, possible March. Althought I am think about changing the interior trim to the metal weave which will push it back even futher.
So what is this "short period of time?"

When I ordered mine on 10-29-19 I was told to expect a 90 day wait. I check with the SA a few days back and found that there has been no change in my status and that it was still waiting to be assigned a chassis. I do know that orders were accepted more than a month earlier than mine so if nobody has received their order yet, it will be a while.

Do you know if your 580 has entered the build queue yet? Does your vehicle have a production date?

Now want a 580 but it's still not on the US website (22 December). They must be having one heck of a production delay on this one too. I'm assuming it'll be assembled in Alabama like the 350/450.
Anyone have more information on it, other than the engine specs released early this year?

Thank you. I didn't know the 580 would be limited in quantity/availability, though thinking about it, that makes sense.
Also, I'm not very familiar with this forum and will look for the MB Order Guide.

Here is the latest Dealer Order Guide I have seen posted, though there may be a newer one. BTW, this did not read properly in my Bluebeam but did in Acrobat. Over on the GLS forum the first 580 has been delivered in the US.

Thank you for the October Dealer Order Guide.
I am working with my dealer on ordering the GLE580 and the pricing on the October DOG appears very accurate, with the exception of the 3D High End Burmester, which appears to have dropped in price to $4,550, at least on the GLE580.
I'll update this post when it's on order...

Wish me luck on getting a decent price on the GLE580 in Texas... I'm still waiting for the dealer to return my call. Not sure I'm willing to pay MSRP or or close to it, knowing how all cars depreciate so much in the first year.
