Interesting GLE450 i found

New GLE450 for sale in GA. ~4,500 miles already on the odometer (probably Mercedes testing), fully equipped plus the GLS Maybach interior! I've seen a dozen or so GLE's with weird things such as the power second row and no third row, or with other weird builds that aren't what's "officially" available. Saw a bunch of GLE350's without park assist, and even saw one with the stand alone active lane keep feature, which AFAIK is not an option on the US GLE. I've never seen one like this with this interior though! And I've never seen a GLE450 for so much, US$102,000!

It could also have been a special build for a Mercedes executive. They started building some cars in the 4th Q 2018 as I recall that had options not available normally. Some for testing and some for early press reviews. Then there are the 40-50k cars that were parked in the US and Germany for various reasons such as missing bumpers, E-ABC, etc. According to user Tery, his Feb 2019 build is still pending-probably parked in storage somewhere.

It's a used car. And if they were going to spec it like that, they should at least have added 21" wheels to the build.

I kinda had the same thought -- $102k and it has those wheels on it? I don't mind those wheels, but they don't belong on a 6-figure rig, IMO. In fact, I quickly tried to build the most expensive 450 I could on MBUSA.com and it came out at $98K with those wheels. I guess they figure that interior is worth $4K more than the most expensive interior available because of its scarcity.

Originally I didn’t pay attention to the dealer. I’ve tried to buy from this dealer before. Many years ago I tried to buy a E550 that was a “new” car used by a rep., never titled and had a couple thousand miles on it. They thought it should be considered new and still wanted a new price for it. Their argument was that it had never been titled and the new car warranties started when I bought it. In recent years I even went to look at a new AMG there and they are always high on price. But considering the area they are in near Atlanta, I bet someone will pay for it.

It is a gorgeous interior, though I don't think it works well with the black exterior. But $10K? As others have said, it's worth whatever someone will pay for it, but I wouldn't do it, personally. To me, charging $10K for that interior would work just fine on a $200K vehicle. But on a car that starts around $60K, that $10K price tag seems a bit much.

2023 GLE450, 2021 E350 / Used to drive: 2019 E300, 2021 + 2020 GLE350, 2019 E450 Wagon(s), 2017 E300
Car has less then 5,000 miles on it and the letters are wearing off the "Start" button? Also - they couldn't clean around the "Start" button area? It's either dirty or the leather surface is scuffed - who pays $102K for that?

I've attached the data card for this car. It's a pretty high spec with E-ABC and most options, but a couple things that stood out to me:
1) I confirmed it has the power secind row with no third row
2) As suspected it has all sorts of pre production codes - 102 (Trial production 2), 06P (mileage driven under manufacture plates), 112 (goes with 102), and 14P (special priority release)
3) It doesn't have the "parking assistance package" basically surround view camera that was supposed to be required for the driveing assist package. Just a backup camera
4) It has a rebuilt Tech package with the interior assist and the HUD but no AR nav or 549 upgraded headunit. I've seen other early GLEs with the AR and HUD and no interior assist, but this is the only one I've seen this way
5) No energizing comfort, just standalone ventillated seats, massage, and air balance
6) Code 954 is the exact same code as the interior on the actual Maybach GLSs with this interior.
Also, it was listed at $102,340 but that's just what the build sheet said. Probably 10k for the interior on the sticker. I hope no one bought it for that.
This is by far the easliest built 167 I've seen - I've seen lots of cars in the 1400-1500 builds, still production trial (though 3) cars with 09/18 builds, but I havent seen any others this early. It's sp pdd but I'm kind of in love with this car.
