It'll be interesting to see if the full range is available at the same time. Have there been any spy shots of the updated 63S? Mercedes has a way of dragging their feet on the "big boy" AMG models, but since there (probably) won't be any significant powertrain updates, maybe they can launch all of them at the same time. I'm going for the 53 so I'm optimistic it will be available ASAP.

Hopefully the AMGs will be available to order at the same time, even if their delivery timeline is pushed back compared to the normal GLEs. I would like to be able to compare it to the 2024 X6M that is getting announced in February and then place an order for one or the other sooner rather than later.
48V is only going away when they replace it will a fully electric powertrain lol.
Even BMW is expected to update its X5 and X6 range this year with a 48V MHEV system.

Maybe your dealer meant the V8 going away for 2024, I've heard other dealers express the same thought but nothing confirmed.
TBH I don't think MB actually cares that much about those other markets. I don't have the numbers to back it up, but I assume North America and Europe constitute the vast majority of their sales.
I am presently sitting in one of “those markets” which will not have EV infrastructure for decades to come. And there are more MBs here than you could imagine. In addition to innumerable MBs, I saw two Maybachs here in a twenty four hour period, which is two more than I see in a typical month.

If you're out in the midwest, isnt it likely that you live in a house that you can just add a charger to?
I'm in NYC and if I want an EV I have to pay my garage $150/mo for charging -_-

“In the '60s and '70s, 100-amp service became more common – better than earlier service, but still low by modern standards. In the '80's, 200-amp became more common to accommodate the growing electrical demand of the various equipment in the home.”
