Click noise when applying brakes GLE 2022
I have been using my new 2022 GLE 450 for about two months only ,the mileage has reached 1000km. It started making a clicking sound every time I press the brake pedal, it’s like a light clunk or metal to metal sound, it happens only when you press the brakes while driving more than 30 KM/hr. The click never happens when the car is not moving or at very low speeds. Brakes seems to work normally and fine nothing unusual, it’s only that abnormal click.
You can hear it behind the pedal or below the car. The sound is obvious if the journey is quite, all passengers can hear it, but usually it get masked by music or road noise.
I took it to the dealer, and the initial response by the engineer was that it is a common issue with all new GLEs and it is related to the brake booster functioning , apparently he was imposing the idea that this is the default and normal status for this SUV. I wrote a complaint and accordingly they invited me back for more thorough inspection by the head engineer to recommend the appropriate repairs.
The car is still there for two days for inspection, waiting for their response.
Does anyone has the same issue or has the knowledge about how to fix it.

I have 2022 GLE 450 with over 20K miles. Never experienced that issue nor have I read about it on this forum. Push dealer for a resolution, as I don't believe this is a common issue.

The dealer inspected the car for three days and concluded that the brake booster is the reason for this sound and it has to be replaced. They ordered the new booster from Germany , it would take at least a month to be delivered. I have to wait to see the result.

Glad to hear they figured it out. Is it drivable, or did they give you a loaner?

Hopefully, V167 doesn't suffer from the same predicament.
