I used Walmart Members Mark glass Cleaner on my house & car windows today.Big mistake.

It left a plastic-greasy like residue that won't come off with repeat cleanings & cloth changes.It just moves it around the glass.

Then I used a new window squegee.The cloth side felt sticky after using it.

The area of my paint near the window now has a film on it.

I had bought a gallon that came with a quart spray bottle.I thought maybe the spray bottle was leaching into the product.So I opened the fresh gallon.Same thing.

I'da had better results if I spit on the glass instead.

These are the ONLY glass cleaners you should ever use on your car. Notice, neither contains ammonia. Use with an "edgeless" microfiber clothe.

I spent this morning washing the car & using a lot of elbow grease to remove the deposit that was left after use of the glass-cleaner.I got most of it off with this wash.

How many of you wash your car with your key-fob on you?

I noticed that every time the spray from the hose hits the car handles,the door-lock/unlock mirrors in/out.horn beeps cycle occurs over...& over .....& over again.

I finally had to put the key in the house till I was done.

I was waking the car at sunup & I don't think the neighbors would appreciate the noise.

Never, for the exact reason you just stated. Plus, there's no reason to have the SmartKey on you. Once you unlock the doors, why do you need it?

Yes, the locking/unlocking mechanism is very sensitive. But after owning a car with the exact opposite problem, I prefer it like that.

I'm lucky - Wurth Glass Cleaner is the bomb - and I get it from free from our shop supplies:


On Invisible Glass - I keep their wipes handy in the car for on-the-road.... good for dash/interior wipe ups too

I don't buy it from Amazon. I just posted that link because it has more detailed info and user reviews. I also buy if from Walmart.

I've had the same experience with the hose. This happens on my S class as well. No longer have the key on me while washing with hose.
