Model Year End 2025 GLE53

Does anyone know approximately when Mercedes stops accepting orders for the 2025 GLE?

I'm interested in a GLE 53, and recently saw that this car may be a PHEV only for 2026. I'm hoping to order a 2025 build this Summer, but not sure if that will be too late. Thank you!

I had heard that 2025 ordering has ended from a dealer that I went to. I would verify this with your dealer as March seemed early to stop orders.

Thanks for this! I was able to place an order for a 2025 this past weekend. Dealer couldn't tell me when they would stop accepting orders, but supposedly it will likely be soon as MY2026 orders are now open.

Hurry up grab them for those into the market as those are tariff protected by MBUSA. Model year 2026 will not be protected https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...inventory.html

This is what prompted me to run to the dealership. We agreed on pricing before placing the order -- hopefully they'll hold up their end of the bargain once the car comes in.

They should, if you left a deposit and they cashed the check.
If they didn't cash it, it may be difficult to prove they accepted your deposit, an Offer and Acceptance AKA legal transaction.
It also protects you if another Salesperson sells the car to someone else before you pick it up, AKA you complete the transaction.
These events are unlikely, but I've seen it happen on more than one occasion.

@tooth32 Congrats on getting a 2025 order in. The dealer that told me that orders had closed did not get my business. In hindsight, I should have been more patient and ordered one. Between a Grand Cherokee 4XE that would die and try to go into park at 55 mph (and many other drive battery issues) and Stellantis not having a fix for it and then the tariffs, I rushed into mine, but love it, save for the lack of towing and heated steering wheel. Who would've though a car with Pinnacle and Driver Assistance pkgs wouldn't have a heated steering wheel?

Put a deposit down and everyone signed a price sheet for the OOD price, etc. We've bought other cars from this dealer before and had a good experience so am hopeful this will be the same. My name is on the order so I would think they wouldn't sell to someone else unless I'm aware of it.

Thanks! I was on the fence about the tow package -- I've heard there are some engine/battery upgrades? I have no plans to tow, but was curious about the technical upgrades.

Wow, I'm shocked re: heated steering wheel. I just checked and turns out it's a part of the Winter Package (along with heated windshield washers).

One option I saw on the dealer computer, but nowhere on the website was Magic Vision Control. Not sure how much different this is compared to the standard windshield, but $350 did not seem worth it for what you get.

Never heard of that Magic Vision Control. I looked it up, and it may be worth it if you live in the snow belt and get a lot of snow and ice. I don't see the need in Maryland, where I live. Did you get the Coupe or the non-coupe?

Mine came with the Acoustic Comfort Package which I really like. I wouldn't have ordered it, but glad I have it.

Don't recommend magic vision control if you keep the vehicle long and/or if you wear wipers often as the replacement cost of wipers are more than traditional wipers. What magic vision control is integrating the washer fluid sprayers in the wipers so it doesn't spray everywhere on the windshield, a more luxurious way to clean the windshield if you will. The system itself doesn't really have any fatal flaws, relatively reliable I believe.

I went with the SUV -- wanted the trunk space for road trips. I ordered with the Acoustic Comfort Package too, hoping it doesn't silence the actual exhaust noise too much!

My build has: Night Package, Winter Package, Pinnacle Package, Acoustic Comfort, 4 Zone Climate, Power Rear Sunshades, Heated Rear Seats, Rear Air Bags, Driver Assistance, Dash Cam, and a few small accessories.

Wow good to know, thank you. That would drive me nuts. Do the standard wipers require MB specific replacements? My current Volvo needs OEM inserts which aren't super costly, but annoying to purchase.

nope, I don't think you have to get MB replacements, here is an example price, Valeo is the manufacturer according to OP of this thread, keep in mind it is not talking about the V167 GLE:
https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...placement.html
https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ic-vision.html
https://mbworld.org/forums/gls-class...on-wipers.html
https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...t-options.html
https://mbworld.org/forums/gls-class...gls-580-a.html

Here is one case of it failing that I found reported so sounds pretty reliable in general:

Btw -- is there a way to look up and/or track my car's production? I have the PO#, but it's likely too early to have the VIN (dealer to provide once available).

Will need to have the VIN and then the vessel when it is shipped, you can then look it up on public sites. For example: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...s-shipped.html

Oh wait a minute, I just realized something, the GLE 53 is made in Alabama, you skip all the vessel part, should be way quicker than a car coming from Germany for example. I say what you need to do now is wait for the VIN, there is really not much you can do sadly.

I would say you should look forward to it : ), good things come to those who wait, just make sure you have the order submitted, confirmed all the options you wanted is good and clock starts ticking.

Y'all are awesome, thank you for the information. First time AMG/MB buyer so new to the process and very excited (and impatient).
I believe my car is scheduled to go into production end of May, so am hoping for an early July delivery (dealer is in Virginia).

I’m not sure I need to justify this comment, but the 53 is plenty fast and I’m not interested in paying 30k+ additional for the 63. This is a daily driver/family hauler for me. Hope you’re enjoying your 63!
