Poor lighting and Intelligent Light System

Hi,

I was driving late at night yesterday on small roads and felt the lights are quite inadequate. After bit of searching I found out that there is intelligent light system is not enabled in the US. I see some people have enabled it but I couldn't find it on GLS. Anyone here did the coding, did it solve your problem, and with which provider?

Thanks

-Rahul.

Did you activate your high beams? The intelligent high beam system is enabled and will only turn the high beams on when no opposing cars are present.

The lights are set on auto. I didn't notice any cornering lights on turn or high-beam even without any traffic.

You still need to set the stalk to the high beam position. Then the high beams come on in segments depending on oncoming traffic. If you put the light switch to the low/high beam position then you can control the high beams manually using the stalk. I can't say about the GLS specifically, but the intelligent head lights in my C63 turn night into day.

Believe you have something misconfigured aka the other posts. We find the gls is far superior to our other cars when it comes to the headlights/night driving.

Let me try this and report back after my next night drive. I don't drive at night that much and it was my first ride in last one month of ownership.

It probably me not using the high-beam switch. Do you use the high beam as well or just the auto configuration?

the intelligent lights are way better than the US stock headlight setup - well worth the the upgrade
but as other poster say, first check you on auto high beam (left main stalk pushed fwd toward front of car)
