E320 vs ........

So, I really dont feel like posting up all the stories so heres the just of it.

E320 Vs E430...................................E320 FTW
E320 Vs CLK430................................E320 FTW
E320 Vs ML55...................................E320 FTW close race
E320 Vs SLK350 manual......................E320 FTW
E320 with 500 extra lbs Vs E320...........Tommygunn E320
E320 Vs stock 1.8T Gti.......................E320
E320 Vs 330CI..................................E320
E320 Vs Militant-grunt ::ko3::............ .1.8T up to 80MPH after E320
E320 Vs militant-grunt ::ko4::..............1.8T up to 120. Start pulling at 80 mph

Its just to much of a hassle. Dyno Hp 220rwhp. For now.....

No no e320 is on a winning streak. FTW means for the win. And Carl you pulled that one outa NOWHERE. I'm thinking meh 325 e36 SLOW. Then i'm doing 130+ and you pull on me like nothing i'm like WTF!!???


Also i love how NOW it says m3.

No! I have a 1999 Blue M3 and a 1994 black M332i(325i 3.2l) which was the one you raced.


130 mph LOL! We were'nt doing anywhere near close to 130mph when I pulled on you. Which run was that?

It was well b4 70mph which is somewhere while I'm in second going to third gear from a roll.

no when we were on our way out to captree and i floored it. I was doing about 130 and then all of a sudden you ran up on my bumper like nothing. btw how much did you dyno in at with the c43 when it was stock

Gotcha!

I never dynoed my C43 when it had the 4.3L motor in it. But there were two C43's and a CLK430 with me when I first dynoed with the 5.5l motor. One C43 dynoed 238whp,the other dynoed 233whp,while the CLK430 dynoed 223 to 227whp. All cars were dynoed on a dynojet but the guy had a crappy small fan IMOP.

Are you sure C43's dyno 238. That sounds very low. I would expect it to dyno 250whp no problem.

100% sure! I was there! Ask Tumpc55 his car was one of the C43's dynoed and I was very surprised as well.

Yup, I got 235whp and 242whtq when I dynoed my C43 with new plugs/wires/filters...basically running perfect thats what you can expect.

i hammered that thing last night and jesus christ it was AMAZING. But and theirs always a but. I got a call this morning and my dads in the hospital because his cancer is spreading....... so i have to hold off now. Sighs. The c43 is better in every aspect over the E320. It pulls harder, it doesnt stop pulling and it just flies. I still remember your c43. That thing was a monster.

I wonder what my c36 dynos? Considering its a close race with a c43. I'm guessing 230whp. You got to know it runs in the high 13s stock.

jon, jon, jon........ you seem to keep forgetting that the C43 you raced has E55 wheels. Their not as light as you 17's. Their about a good 20 Lbs hevier PERWHEEL.

damn, I never knew that. I guess they were overrated at 302 how uncharacteristic of AMG.

Anyone on how much a C36 dyno's?

I'm guessing in the 220's. The CLK 430 has 275hp at the crank and did 222 to 227hp at the wheels.

Yeah I know but I had a full tank of gas and Jared was under 1/4 tank. Also I raced a different c43 and we were close.

I dont get how you say 320 vs CLK430 then post 320 vs ML55 close race.. The CLK 430 is rated 1/2 a second quicker than an ML55 AMG in 0-60 rating. And over 1/2 second quicker in the 1/2 mile.


Might want to re race with a competent driver behind some of the cars you have listed.. I am not saying you didnt beat them but you beat them because of either a problem with their car or a problem with the driver.

I believe it is also because of drivetrain loss. For ex,the Evo Lancer IX typically pulls 240 to 255 WHP and 240 to 250 WTQ on a dynamometer. Basically 300 to 320 hp to the crank and it's manual.

So with the autotragic tranny in our C43's the 233 to 240whp is very feasible for 302 @ the crank. I'm not very familiar with the drivetrain losses in both cars, but we lose alot with our trannies.

I don't get that either, the CLK 430 runs very similar to the C43 to me. Could have needed a MAF or the guy was a very bad driver. If the E320 is faster than the CLK430 are we saying that the E320 is faster than an E430 Tommy? The CLK430's run very good and very similar to the C43 I might add.
