R1 chasing me

If this is not crazy I dont know what is. But what my friend and I were coming from his house bored nothin to do. So he told me amg cars are slow, I didnt pay him no mind. Then I saw this cobra cut over 3 lanes and took the hov lane.I was tempted the funny part is that he took off and I matched him in the fast lane on the regular highway.I dont know why my friend and I were laughing so hard as we could tell he was trying. And then I saw a bike in the middle lane and he was lookin at us when we were coming and soon as i passed him he was on it.By that time i was about 120 and that bike closed that distance and was drafting the sh_t out of me. But we kept goin until 140 then a car came in front of me and we both let off. He came next to us and it was an r1 the guy gave a thumbs up.Then he popped a wheelie (i guess as a trick and he was gone).Just when i thought things couldnt get any funnier, the cobra that was in the hov was flicking us off.My friend and I could tell he was pissed bc right after he did that the state trooper pulled him over as soon as he did that.My friend just shook his head and said whats new.Now before I get flamed i never said i beat the r1 he was drafting me, because i was focused on the cobra which we were passing at the time.Im sure if i had a supra i would have killed the r1,but it was a little fun with no one on the highway.

Those crotch-rockets have some surreal acceleration to them. Was in the S awhile back, moving though traffic with one hanging on behind me. Passed a few cars, outmaneuvering him as he got stuck behind. Found the straight and let the motor breathe, and was well into the triple digits when I see this yellowish blur howl by me. Serious toys...but dangerous.

paragraphs would help. But yeah those R1's are fast. They do 10sec to high 9's on the quarter.

You can buy them cheap on the used market. 1L on a bike is huge. Even the 600cc bikes are quick.

The events that have happened is true. And its only just a kill story. I might not be the fastest or anything, but I dont have time to make things up.And for your information I dont have time to argue with you,we all have mercedes benz cars and just leave at that.Dont make things more complicated by putting your 2cent into things, because really I could care less what you think.Trust me man be careful what you say you really dont want none of this.So if have somethin negative to say take it somewhere else, instead of wasting your time.

Sorry guys i didnt mean to come as some hardcore dude or anything. But it seems like everytime someone has a kill story, some idiot always has somethin negative to say. Just like the guy who had the story about his c32 vs 911 turbo, they twisted his story around for no reason. But seriously like i said we all have benzes so just enjoy each other, and not putting negative comments to discourage others.I'm sure you guys can agree with me on that.

this is the Internet, tough guy. I say what's on my mind, in measured fashion.
you don't have to like it, and you can respond in kind. this isn't a world where
we always share our toys, play nice, and blow each other. if applause is
appropriate, I'm quick to recognize that as well. if your street racing is
immature and dangerous, I dont feel the need to withhold comment simply
because of some contrived practice that we must agree.

I've had friends killed while street racing...as well as killed by street racers.
your pattern of boasting conveys a dangerous and immature mind.

that's just my perception, however slanted and misplaced.

Oh i hear what your sayin,im sorry about your friends being killed by street racers no one wished that upon them. But that fact is i said in my story there was nobody on the highway. And if you want to justify me on street racing be my guest, and plus half the people on here have raced. So all i am doin is just tellin a story, and your right i should take it to the track instead on public roads. But i dont cut across three lanes and and endanger people, its not my style. I respect what your sayin but if gonna judge someone, then judge all the others on this forum that have raced, dont just point the finger at me like im the only one that has done it.Anyway take care you do your thing and ima do mine.

It's apparent that you have a narrow view of the risks your street racing poses.
You seek to justify your actions by parsing examples and holding them as shining
examples of your safety mindedness. I would submit that most racers feel as
though they are safe...and that as far as they can determine at that moment
in time, the conditions are safe.

You've already posted a number of times since you've signed on to this forum
giving examples of just how safe [sic] you are. Fact is, it isn't possible for you to
synthesize the myriad of possible conditions which could pose dangers and
result in fatalities. You simply grasp at the opportunity to race at triple digit
speeds, get a boner and hit the throttle. You gamble and play the odds.
Despite your poor judgement, you live....but you wave this banner as if
this validates your success as sound judgement.

When one if flying along at 200+ feet per sec, given reaction time lag and
danger recognition to the unexpected.....how safe can you really be, say
if you encounter someone who is disabled along the shoulder, or patch of
wet, or your competition who overcorrects, or the biker who has a high
speed wobble, etc etc?

Frankly put, to quote Judge Judy.... your an idiot. Risking other people's
lives racing on public streets epitomizes poor judgment.

....and your pithy defense that I should be spending my time taking on and
scolding all the other folks posting kills is ludicrous. You're saying that unless
I mount a wholesale, class action attack on all street racers, my arguments
are invalid ?? Bullcrap. I single you out because I read your post and saw fit
to respond. My objection begins one kill at a time and that, in itself, is
justified.

Take it to the track.

Awesome response. I street race BTW (in video games or in Mexico of course), but I don't condone it. Truth is, it is dangerous and selfish. As I get older I'm starting to lessen my racing exposure. The incidents that have taken place in the past year definitely have made it clear that if you play with fire, theres a very good chance you'll get burned.

No one said that i was tryin to put up a defense of any sort. And the stories that have been posted arent somethin to be necessarily proud of.But as far as you saying someone is narrow minded and dont understand the conseqences,i have to disagree. An you are so quick to judge someone's character through stories, without even knowing them.I never said street racing was the right thing to do, and i dont glorify my actions in which i have done it.What is done in the past, i cant take back, and i could give dam what you say further.Because people are going to do what they want, like it or not,and yes their choices can come back to bite them. And everyone on here couldnt agree with more. But really dude no none doesnt have time to argue with you, you said what you wanted and i already heard you.Because pretty much im done with the issue.Like i said you do your thing ima do mine.
