Ok this is my first day driving my car under power like it should have, after replacing the MAF. I bought a car from a dealer 1000mi away and had it shipped, when it got here it was as fast as my gf's e320 i kid you not, until MAF was replaced and battery disconnected to reset.

We arranged a race between a 07 or an 08 STI all stock, Im all stock as well
went from a roll 20mph only until 80mph no point for me to go any faster. STI jumped on me for a brief time but my car took over and i was about 1.5 cars ahead at around 80mph
Im shocked at how much power my AMG has. Im walking around with a smile on my face all day long Fastest car I ever drove or owned.

Assumes punktard in STi knows how to launch an AWD car (i.e., like you stole it). Most of them are not willing to risk having their single largest asset towed back to their apartment complex or frat house, and will bog the launch to one degree or another.

I am 5 for 5 in dig launches versus STis with my C32. Only one of them was even close.

(In all fairness, I have a couple of buddies who drive STis/Evos, who don't fit the stereotype. There are some true, mature, enthusiasts who drive Subies and Mitsus, but the "Fast and the Furious" stereotype does tend to be the case).

yeah from a roll the e55 has the advantage. you can definately feel the german engineering once you get up to the higher speeds. I remember i hit 130mph in mexico once and it felt like i was going 80mph in my old integra.
