New Owner as of tonight / Extended Warranty Question
When I bought my E55 a few years back, several of us had bought our extended warranty from the Chico dealership for a cut rate price. I tried to negotiate a good price tonight from the finance lady, but didn't really get more than 10% off.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a dealership willing to make a great deal on the extended warranty, esp since you can buy the warranty from any dealership?
Thanks,
N
A local dealer wants $3500 for 7 years/75k miles or $4600 for 7 years/100k and thats already allegedly 15% off.
We are considering a new ML. Our R was 24 hrs away from finishing it's extended warranty. Long story short - loud grinding sound, $8500, all covered by the warranty, 24hrs safe.
While the car has been almost perfect and we do plan to keep it a long time, I worry about (very) expesnsive repairs once it is out of warranty. I also question whether it is worth the cost to get the extended warranty, but the piece of mind could be worth it.
I would certainly consider it if the discounted price was right.
Please advise what discounts you know about. Thank you.

From the one referenced thread it seems the one woman no longer works at that dealer or I would have just emailed her.
Thanks.

Some people claim they call 6 regional dealers and get 6 different prices. I'd try that. Other people mention Jesse Medrano (530) 230-3165
I just bought a CPO with 4 years and 100k miles, so I'm not in the market.

In other words, you got an additional 4 years on top of the original 4 years?

Just shoot me an email to brucem105@comcast.net, and I'll need your car's VIN# and current odometer reading. Then I can reply with full information and accurate pricing.
Thanks.

(even the mercedes guy thought it was really really high...)
For reference, my 2008 ML550 is currently on year 3 of the original factory warranty and at 27k miles.

This is not to say that the CPO and CPO-ELW coverage is bad. It is to say, however, that it is WAY less comprehensive than the non-CPO ELW, which I thought was rather surprising. What's even more surprising, at least to me, as that if you are buying your car as a CPO, you do not have the option of adding the much more comprehensive non-CPO ELW to it.
In other words, people who are posting about the advantages of MB's extended warranties need to make sure that they understand very significant differences between MB's ELW for non-CPO's and CPO vehicles. The latter, while still decent, are much more limited than a lot of people realize and are far inferior to the former.
I work at Mercedes-Benz of Austin. I can provide both New and CPO Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranties an extremely low price and I can also offer a 10% down no interest payment plan & you don't even have to come to our dealership to buy the plan. If you have questions about the Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty try: www.mercedeselw.com. You can call me at 512-454-6821 or email jake.boone"DONOTSPAM"@mbofaustin.com (remove "DONOTSPAM")
