Good find! It's amazing how much better the MB sites in other countries are better than MBUSA's website...they should be ashamed.

Benz is the way to go.

JGC has a german 6 speed trans but a mexican V6 gas.
NXT yr the JGC (I believe) will get an American V6Diesel paired with the 6sp German trans.

Hi Gang

Its the whole command system color scheme that changes to a gorgeous grey shades with red green graphic icon things.

Our current orders should be built as we ask, but if your thinking about it get ur 2013 order in to be scheduled like Greg and I did. Keep the current one just tell the dealer what you want to do.

I'm pretty set on sticking with the '12, though given it's a 2nd decade June build, it may be one of the last. Just too many uncertainties switching. Best of all worlds would be if my build slipped a couple weeks and got switched to a '13.

Same video is on the US site excluding the RED.
Thats why I dont trust the video color because it makes Dakota look like
Baby Sh** Brown and its GORGEOUS in person.
I see how cinnabar can look maroonish but I stick with Veloci Raptor
The video starts with cinnabar looking pinkish coral color then darkens
Any way its darker then BMW and I like it so should Tom B and his wife..........LOL

Went in today and changed mine to MY2013. SA says mid July build and that I could be driving it by the last week of July!

I hope he's right too!
BTW, I checked out the color MFD on an ML63. It was so cool, well worth the move to MY2013.

There's always something better around the corner. I just can't chance my order getting bumped back two or more months.

Ordering ML350 for MY 2013
Greg W....

So your deal is dealer invoice +$...
I said before I have an order in for ML350 4MATIC Gasoline wiht about 10K in options. Price to be determined....BUT.....I have in writing from another dealer (near my Florida home) a 6% off window sticker, plus no dealer fees, and a complimentary 3rd key AND ALSO a separate incentive deal for fleet, competetive discount (I have a MDX) or USAA MB Discount separately (I have an account) up to $3,000. Is that in the ball park or am I too easy????

Overall, Mercedes dealer margin on MSRP is 6%, so that would be an at-invoice deal. The "invoice+" arrangements I typically fall into the +$1000 range (some +$500). However, if you qualify for a available Conquest incentive available at that time, let's say $1000, then the agreement can be made that the Conquest incentive comes out of the total. M-B provides additional dealer support in the Nov-Dec time frame, but that's hard to get on a preorder.

I'm too easy, if anything. Went back to the SA I bought my last one from and he's never asked for a deposit and has been working with me for a year or so. I'm not an expert at negotiation; I'd say your deal is good, better than mine.

2012 ML350 BlueTEC On Order!

My first post on this site. I just placed an order for a new 2012 ML Diesel about ten days ago. It was too late to actually order one outright so the dealer modified one in the pipeline. Scheduled for build in 2nd decade of June. Ordered:

ML350BTC
Iridium silver
Grey MBTex
Premium 2 Package
Parktronic
Lighting Package
Driver Assistance Package

I saw somewhere that the lighting package might cause a delay and don't know what that will mean. From what I gather here, it sounds like the MY2013 production might start Mid-June or early July.

I will be trading-in (or selling) my 2007 R-Class diesel, which has been a fabulous car IMO. I originally decided to replace the R with another R but learned that they will not be sold in the US after this year, so I shifted to the ML.. which actually sounds like a better car in some respects (except I'll miss the 3rd row of seats. It was used infrequently but was nice when needed).

My '12 (ordered 10/11) is scheduled for 2nd decade June build (6/11-20), so I'm guessing 13s may gear up first of July. Scarce options like Lighting, Active Curve System or Panorama sunroof have been known to delay builds (like mine), but there's no way of knowing at this point. Yours and mine may be the last of the '12s. Congrats, and God speed!

BTW, we are in similar position as you are. We have a Carneol Red (Code 544, i.e. Barolo Red) ML320 CDI and ordered a new ML. Changed from MY12 to MY13 to have the option of Cinnabar Red (+multi contour seats). Currently chosen Tenorite Grey (Steel Grey) and awaiting eagerly actual samples/ pictures before switching color. I do not think I will have the chance to look at it in person before confirming the order.

Fortunately, though I have the 'new car fever' (actually infected a few of my friends at church... ), am in no rush. I want to test drive it first, as I am not unhappy with what I have. Am also interested in looking at the new 3.0T Audi Q5, which is also late this year. The difference in price would buy me an additional timeshare week (after market) to boost my vacation, and having a friend who has one of the current 2.0T models, am quite impressed with it. Smaller, though, and not a V8, but if the 3.0T performs as promised, will definitely be worth evaluating. (of course, no red! LOL )

Lucky you. After 7 years had to take the plunge for new car. After many years on smaller engines (1.8 Kompressor, 3.0 Diesel) I' ve spoiled myself and ordered ML63. We only live once

I heard that the ML350 will have this option for 2013 MY. I believe it cost around $1700. I was thinking of getting it myself if I ordered a 2013 but it looks like a nice 2012 is coming my way (we shall see!). Anyway, I was looking at some of the videos at youtube of the night vision as it works on other Mercedes models. It is pretty awesome! However, although I am not sure of this, I think the rumor is that the camera picture will be displayed on the navigation screen, rather than on the information cluster in the dash. If that is the case it is no good at all. Other Mercedes models show the image right there in front of you.

I believe BMW does it even better with the image shown on the bottom of the windshield. However, BMW is based on heat seeking technology and will not display things such as rocks, boulders and tree limbs, only people and animals. Mercedes has a much better system but poor application, at least in the new ML350 (assuming my information is correct which it might not be).

Yep, but given the location of the screen, it's not a very useful one. On other MBs, the screen for this is located behind the steering wheel.

The only redeeming factor is that the headlights will automatically turn to focus on anyone along side the road, which is kinda cool and could alert both you and them.

If I lived in a more rural area, I'd get it, since I'm all about safety. But if not for the auto-focus, keeping your eye on a little screen to the right might have its own dangers to avoid.

Thanks guys. My father will be buying a new ML550 at lease end in December and he lives in a very rural area with a lot of roaming deer. Any advantage will be helpful. Hopefully Mercedes doesn't only display the images on the NAV screen. If that's the case, he rarely drives without my Mom in the car. One with eyes on the road and another with eyes on the NAV. LOL.

I drive 90% back roads out here in the deep country. There are no street lights for miles and tons of deer and hogs. Even better than night vision is the lighting package Mercedes offers. I am in the process of getting an ML350 and the lighting package was an absolute must. It may even be better than the night vision camera, especially if the image is displayed in the navigation screen.
