Hello. I purchased the icarsoft MB V2.0 as I’m interested in the "DPF % Full" feature that I expected to see.
Unfortunately I cannot find the DPF % Full feature. I see 11 items that do not include the DPF % Full item.
Does anyone know where or how I can access that data item?

Attached are some screen shots of what I can see.I did also expect to see a I see DPF % Full number.
I figure the numbers shown are healthy as I had the car on the open road for 4 hours and the Ash is 0 grams and I see the Soot is at 6.29 grams.
Not sure how to interpret these numbers. Comments welcome.

SO DISAPPOINTED. IF ONLY icarsoft WERE UPFRONT & RESPONSIVE.
AN UPDATE: SO DISAPPOINTED. IF ONLY ICARSOFT WERE UPFRONT & RESPONSIVE.

It's impossible to find what DPF Functions are available on the W166 ML350 before purchasing and the icarsoft. After I bought, the MB V2.0 USA Headquarters / Sales Engineer / Order Center did respond stating to update SW (I did) and send the log files (I did). Since then, icarsoft support has not responded to any of my questions about what DPF functions will not work on the W166 ML350 Bluetec.

I was recently told (locally here in Sydney) that the icarsoft MB V2.0 does not support "DPF Regeneration" OR "DPF % Full". After VIN Numbers and Version numbers the local Sydney people said: "Apologies MB V2.0 can't do DPF function for this car". It does provide a reading for Ash and Soot in Grams - but that's it. Nothing more.

Very disappointed in the tool and service from icarsoft.

ICARSOFT - YOUR WELCOME TO RESPOND AND I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY TO CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT THE PRODUCT AND SERVICE.

W166 is missing from the DPF Regeneration Page / List. Many Mercedes may be missing.

Did you ever get a solution
I fell for the same scam, they state it works in later Mercedes models, but they don't state it works on everything but w166
Talking to their support team is a dead end.

I am on my 4th device now. So far each of the providers initially said it would be supported and in each case I've had a full refund.
The other two devices are: Carly - W166 not supported & VT-600 - W166 not supported.

Currently I am trying "Thinkdiag" by Launch. The standard 1 Free App being the "Mercedes App" doesn't support Regen either. Now they're telling me that I have to purchase an additional a DPF Application for $35 a year, however, I am currently seeking a money back guarantee on the SW if it doesn't work. So I waiting for their response so haven't tried the DPF App yet.

I have icarsoft MBII reader. It does read the dpf %. It can show when the car regenerate pdf. W166 does the active regenerate. It only start when 100% full. It take around 20 mins with engine running at normal speed. No need highway run or high rpm. Temperature reach around 600 degree Celsius.

Same here. I have ThinkDiag dongle and Android app (ThinkDiag+) but it looks this thing doesn't fully support DPF regen function for our SUV (W166). One of the legendary car family and not supported! What a pity. Returning my device. I have a 1-year subscription (free/promo) and it looks there is no option for now to get that functionality implemented.
oh yes, forgot to add: Support is almost non-existent for ThinkDiag cr*p.

P.S. I guess we should find a less-greedy dealer or someone with Star..

Found some other tools. Keen to buy this one:

Autel MaxiDiag MD806 Pro

Contacted the seller to confirm it supports W166

For those with iCarSoft MB V2, did you update the software in their support webpage? Did you email their support person in California, USA (support@icarsoft.us) ?

In the past, they have been responsive and provided a temporary software update for testing.

Reviving this old thread if anyone is using a iCarSoft MBII reader. I scanned my w166 this weekend and it tells me DPF is 84.43% full. Despite a menu option for it, the DPF regen doesn't seem to do anything. I'm about to go on a trip of about 7 hours, so I thought I'd monitor the DPF along the way and hope it regens.

Also, has anyone had any luck with DPF cleaners for this model? The sensor going into the dpf is relatively easy to access and I had seen a video of a sprinter owner using LiquidMoly to clean the filter after removing the sensor. I was wondering if this is even worth trying.

I have the same reader and regen doesn't work. Regen should start automatically once you reach 100% and you will be able to tell either by looking at the temperatures or a slightly elevated idle (800 vs 750 rpm). Don't know about DPF cleaners but if you are in USA/Canada you should be entitled to a replacement DPF among other equipment as part of the respective Bluetec settlements.

Thanks for confirming. I'll see how it goes later today as I'll be on the road for several hours.

I've not looked into the settlement and avoid the dealership like the plague as I do my own wrench work. I'm in a no emissions check state and my def is already less than functional. Not sure it would be worth the 3500 if I have to replace def components. I'll look into it as I understand I have only until Oct.

Working DPF soot percentage and DPF Regen status PIDs if anyone is still interested
Been toying around with torque pro a bit and found working DPF soot percentage and DPF Regen status PIDs if anyone is still interested. Not sure if this is the place to post them or if there is a dedicated section.

iCarsoft has terrible to none customer service. My MBII quit working and I tried to re-install from the sd card. It said the software was corrupted. I emailed them to buy another sd card but they never responded even after several attempts. I'm using a Launch unit now and it seems pretty good. Updates easily on wifi.

Have you been able to fix your iCarsoft scanner?

Not to defend them, but two years ago I interacted with support (likely one person business), and got good help and fixed version of their software

No I haven't. Maybe I'll try again. The unit is worthless right now.

I just dusted off my iCarsoft EU Pro,
1 - connected with a laptop using the USB cable and it booted correctly
2 - Wrote down the Serial number and the UID, needed for the upgrade
3 - Downloaded the latest package for the model, unzipped
4 - Started the application, selected the packages that I needed, and go.
5 - Done. No issues.

Do you recall in what state yours was? Say, does it boot? How far into the menus can you go?

Recently updated engine software to the latest version by dealer. After updated, the reader only shown if there is any fautcode but not live reading from tge engine. The pdf temp, fill levels, erg opening level … are no longer shown. The scanner was updated to the latest available software but no luck.

Not sure if all icarsoft scanners have the "reset mode". Mine does, it is the way to revert to the original software in case an upgrade was not what the user expected. Mine has options like RESET_BENZ, RESET_BMW, etc..
