Question about MAP reading from the OBD II
I have a 2003 S600 V12TT. When I connect my Actron scanner and look at the MAP reading I am seeing abot 150 KPA which equated to 20 psi at WOT for a couple of seconds. At idle it is 33kps which would be about 4.5 psi
My question to you is that does the 150 KPA include the baro pressure? If it does that means I am boosting only 5 psi?
I spoke a reputated board member about this yesterday and all the S600 he has logged via a scanner the baro pressure has to be subtracted.
My car feels quick but then I have not driven another S600 so I have nothing to compare to.

I havent much experience here, but I doubt a plumbing leak. turbo boost is primarily controlled by the turbo wastegate/ecu set up. Remember how much trouble others on this site have with bad intercooler pumps and clogged catalytic converters.My gess is a search on this forum would yeild a lot more imfo.

I installed a temporary boost gauge and the readings were in sync for what a stock car should produce about 13 to 14 psi at wot. As of now the car is in the shop getting a custom primary and secondary heat exchanger installed. A fellow member adam has been very helpful in answering by novice questions

I logged MAP last night, and I also got around 30 kPa at idle. However, on WOT I got a max of about 240 kPa at 3000 rpm. That equates to about 20 psi above atmospheric.

I'll log MAP using my scanner for you and we'll compare. I'm tuned, as you know. But if memory serves, and it's been a good while since I've looked at MAP, but I always had to subtract atmo. For quick and dirty, I just minus 13.7
Also, keep in mind that stock K24s spool up quickly, so we don't have turbo lag. But they run out of breath VERY quickly and only hold peak boost for a short time.
I'll try to get a run logged for you. It's a million degrees up here in DC this entire summer, so I'll no doubt be heat soaked.....
