Unknown Engine

My w124 has a swapped engine. Can anyone tell me what engine it is please? Also, I circled some things I don't understand.

Left->What is this part?
Middle->There is a screw missing there and the engine sound awful because of that. I have tried to screw one into place but it won't screw. Can I do anything about it?
Right->What is that? Is it a sensor or something?

I'm a total noob so please don't laugh at me if these are silly questions

Ok I found the exact same engine in a w210. Does any w210 owner in these forums have it too? Can someone please help me with my other questions?

Thats a OM605 engine (c250 diesel, e250 diesel).

The circled item on the left is the EGR valve (emmisions equipment). Unless you need to get your car inspected, don't worry about it.

The item in the middle is a bolt for the injector cover. Unless the cover is rattling and annoying you then I wouldn't worry about it.

The item on the RHS is the coolant temp sensor. Looks like it was retrofited there for your installation because i can see the wiring across the engine bay.

Any other questions?

Thank you very much for your help.

About that bolt....The cover IS rattling and it is extremely annoying. I found a bolt but it won't screw. I don't know what you call it in english but that thing that the bolt screws on must be broken. Can I do anything about it? Is it repairable?

Also, how many KW or HP does it have? And how many cylinders and valves?

Is there a broken bolt in the hole? If so it will have to be drilled out/tapped to take a new bolt.

No. The bolt goes all the way into the hole without screwing. Would a bigger bolt do the job? If so, are there any bigger bolts available?

It has 5 cylinders/4 valves per cylinder.

not sure on power, from memory it was around 70-75kw and 160-180nm

if the bolt won't hold then you can try a larger bolt or get a helicoil kit and fit a new thread.

At what size should I buy the helicoil kit?
