KEYLESS ENTRY LOCK DOESNT WORK FROM KEYPAD,ANY DIY ON REAR PAD REMOVAL? 03 CLK500
i replaced the battery in the key, but the lock button doesnt work on both controllers i have..the unlock button works..the auto open and lock in the door handles work,keyless start etc... but i cannot lock from the keypad,,any ideas whats wrong?
went to change pads and they were in perfect shape...anyway to get rid of this break noise? its noisy like pads need replaced but there perfect,front and rears..dont grind or shake just starts making noise when ya stop

sounds like yu have a bad remote key. as for the brake noise, remove the pads and install antisqueal paste to the back off the pads(metal side) and along the sides where they touch the calipers. I live in Cleveland and we deal with this on a regular basis. MB brake paste is prefered but you can purchase some at local parts store.

thanks man... as for the fob key..both keys are the same problem..could it be anythign else? seems strange both lock keys would quit working at same time..amy reprogramming needed or resynch maybe?

pull batteries. make sure each one is above 3V's. thats generally the threshhold. if not you'll have to replace the antenna module. some people thinks the battery is okay cuz it starts the car but that's not the case. you're rellying on your radio freuency here

before you go tearing your headliner out i would check the #8, 7.5 amp fuse in the rear fuse box. if good check and see if you panic alarm works. could have shorted alarm siren, would cause both problems in adistion to vehicle not locking.
