Greetings from New Orleans.
Just purchased a 2004 CLK 320 from a lady in Houston, TX just yesterday.
My sister owns a 2003 CLK 320 in Miami and I've been intrigued by them since the first time I saw hers.
This is my first Benz; as I've been a BMW guy my entire adult life, but not my first experience with them. My father owned a 79 450SEL. That thing was nice.
Looking forward to many days of enjoyment with this car.

Hi there,
My name is Peter and I'm from White Rock, BC, in (Southern) Canada, about a mile from the WA USA border. Our 2000 MB S430 got rear-ended on the freeway and was written off. We just got a 2000 S500 and I have a few little things to fix on this puppy.
1. The fan (heating/AC) is quite noisy at start up, but can still be heard after. How big a deal is it to fix?
2. The dash radio is not lit up. When the sun shines directly on it, or if you shine a flash light on it, you can see the time. Is a bulb burned out? How big a deal is it to fix?
3. Headlight washer nozzles. Both LH and RH have middle nozzle missing, do I have to buy a complete nozzle assembly or can I buy single nozzles, somewhere?
4. Anybody know what sort of mileage to expect on average city and hwy?
5. Is it necessary to use Premium gas? This morning Premium gas was CAD $1.81/Liter.
Thanks for your help.
I'm sure I'll have more questions
Peter

Hi to you all!
I am a new member and i drive an audi B8 allroad, but i am interested in buying an e200 w212 GCI and i joined the forum to gather as musch information as possible about this model (especially about the M271 evo engine, which i understand it is turbo-charged and not super-charged).

Hi folks
I'm new to the MB family. I just traded a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 on an MB c450. This will be my daily driver and will be run to very high mileage. if it performs well, maintenance costs, once out of warranty are a concern... My Hyundai had 10 yr/ 100,000 miles which the selling dealer doubled to 20 years 200,000 transferable anywhere in the US/ Canada.
Performance is good, but the transmission is not the best. Generally happy

Just bought a ML500 with codes :)
I am in western Canada and was tired of bouncing around in my Jeep Wrangler- wanted a cheaper luxury model SUV and after test driving Cayanne Twin Turbo etc, i landed on this ML500 and despite it's codes, i think I will enjoy it.

Hello y'all, I've been trolling this forum for info on "the how to" and got great insight on modding my vehicle. Finally after owning my 06 E55 (stock) for over 8 years, I got the opportunity to pop the beast's cherry with a Stage I power package from VRP. Phil is awesome, he walked me through on the how to's and so is Tony from RaceIQ!!!! I'm very satisfied with the results but I want more...POWER (should've gone with Stage 3 or 4)! I love my car again!
Thinking on getting 82mm TB, injectors, and LTH by next week; still concern with possible hiccup. I've read the recent threads on 82mm TB hiccups and gonna take my chances, hopefully won't get the blame on the install for it. Any insight is appreciated and for you guys in California with LTH, how y'all negotiating your LTH with the bi-annual smog? If it's classified, then I understand.
Last question, do I really need 550cc injectors for my 06 if I have these mods: 76mm SC pulley, HE, superflo, BWK, ECU tune, 82mm TB, and LTH?

Hello all I am from the New Oreans Gulf Coast Area but purchased my 2015 E400 CPO from CA and had it shipped. toogood a deal to pass up as it had only 372 miles and was put inservice only the month prior.
So my warranty is awesome and out to 2021 or soemthing crazy.
Been around MB all my life as my dad went through several models and as a teenager I worked for a local MB repair shop. German guy taught me to love MB and all the engineering that goes into them.
I guess now it is my turn to own a MB since the nest became empty.

Hello everyone,
This is my first AMG and my second MB, which was a 1998 E430, bought in 2000. In February 18' I bought a new 18' c63s coupe. In fact this forum helped with the decision to get this car. The c63s is/was my girlfriends daily and we both absolutely love it.. er, loved it... In late June, with 1600 miles on the AMG, my girlfriend was rear ended by a woman in a Hyundai who was texting and driving (allegedly).
After a month of ''discussions'' with my insurance, they decided Not to total the car even though the damage total is $40k +. The Hyundai driver was very under insured so they are no help. Now, almost 60 days later my AMG is still in the shop and repairs have NOT begun due to parts availability or lack thereof. They are estimating 3 to 5+ months from now since some parts don't even have an ETA! As I said, I love the AMG, but I'm not sure I would have chosen this car if I had known replacement parts were so difficult to get (I was thiiiis close to buying an M4 instead- hope those aren't fighting words). My rental was only covered for 30 days and without taking a (even bigger) loss, I cant sell or trade in my car until it's repaired. I just figured I would tell my story.. Maybe someone else who is on the fence about buying an AMG will see this.
I'll post some updates as they come.
*All occupants were not seriously injured.
Thanks
The way she was
Ouch!
Double ouch!!
Also bumped the car in front of the AMG
Don't text and drive! (allegedly)

The person that hit my GF was very under-insured and my insurance only covers a rental for 30 days. Rather than pay 1k+ per month for a descent rental (i.e. 2015 3 series beemer) I bought a 15' Nissan GTR to drive until the AMG comes back. It's awesome! I love it! My GF loves it!!... but that's for another forum. In January I will either sell the GTR or the AMG and keep the other.
Also, I wanna send a BIG thanks to member: Frederick NL who tracked down a rear bumper for me in Germany.
After nearly 7 months... the car is completed!! Total damage was $52k

Hey everyone, my name is Atif and I signed up to gather information and insight for my father's benefit (as needed) as he just returned to MB ownership after a LONG hiatus. He previously owned a 1987 190E, but he just picked up a *loaded* 2015 C300 (W205) with 11K miles and is pretty excited about his new ride
This forum has already been a huge help and I look forward to buying some accessories and odds and ends for his car through the classifieds

Hi all;
I have recently purchased an 06 SLK55 AMG, just turned over to 50,000 km and for the most part I absolutely love the cars performance and handling. Having said that there are already issues popping up and was hoping I could receive some sound advice from some of the resident experts here. I bought the car with 47000 km and it was virtually flawless. The most recent issue is with the retractable top not fully engaging when it closes. The top goes up and down fine, just wont make the final connection to say its closed.Another issue is that after a short or long drive the car sometimes will not restart. When this happens the clock will go backwards 24 hours then reset to the current time. I put the key back in and it starts?? Sounds wacky but true. I tested the battery and it seems good, alternator is putting out 14.2Volts while running. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello
I've been a big fan of Mercedes since I was a kid and my dad owned a 300SE. The prospect of owning one myself has always been a dream.
The design language from Mercedes particularly over the last few years has by far surpassed what's on offer by the competition IMO (I've been drooling over a couple of models for a while now), factor in the advancements to the tech and infotainment systems and the whole package is just top notch.
A few weeks ago (seems like an eternity) I finally bit the bullet and placed an order for an E450 coupe. I'm currently in the dreaded phase of waiting for the car to arrive - all I know is that it should be some time in December (this is torture).
I've been enjoying this forum for a while and having others share their experiences (special shout out to @rbrylaw ) has really helped me get through the days and build that excitement even further.
Now that I've finally signed up, I'll be able to start joining some of these conversations ;-)
