After 18 months of waiting for the right one, my 2008 E63 AMG Wagon (P2) is on it's way from IL to CA, so as good a time as any to join. Hello.
Can't wait to shoot up the PCH to Big Sur with surfboards, bikes and babies on board.

suspension issue
hi this is Steve from NJ. I have a 2003 s500. I had it now for ten years and I would love to keep it for as long as I possibly can.
I have a question about the struts. The passenger side front strut needs fixing. How do I know if I can use a repair kit or need to change out the strut. I don't have ABC

A Great site!
Hi All,
I'm Steve, from Cumbria, England. I've recently bought a black ML320 W163 (2000), 111K miles on the clock. It needs a bit of tlc and some serious cleaning and is a bit 'cosmetically challenged', but runs like a dream and is great fun to drive. Especially into mud-filled dikes - that one took 2 tractors, a transit van and 6 Ukrainians to get me out - fortunately I had enough beers in the fridge to go round... No damage though (well, the underneath of the front bumper isn't quite the same at one corner... and the mud came over the top of the bonnet), it even seems to work better! [Apart from the tailgate won't lock, the screenwash seems to dump into the footwell, needs a left side mirror cover etc, etc.] It's quite fun trying to find what does what and what works and what doesn't.... Even managed to drive 90 miles down the motorway in low range (the dashboard indicator doesn't work) - I'd only just bought it and thought, maybe the transmission is stuffed! The engine somehow seems a bit smoother since...
It's not that bad really, and for a first MB at only £1000, it's 10 times the car of my old Astra estate (might keep that a bit longer though, twice the mpg...).
Well, I'm not asking for answers now, but this is a great site and I've already come across some good ideas. The best one was a comment about mpg consumption and someone suggested that to drive an ML320 you need to tow an ATM cash machine and a petrol tanker around with you - well, why not! It set me thinking and I wondered if anyone had ever tried running an ML320 on a wood gasifier?! A ton of free wood in a trailer and you could maybe go 1500 miles at a time....
More seriously, the current plan is to fix a few issues, clean it up and re-fit the rear as a day-camper with a nice grey leather and wood removable module that bolts into the rear seat lugs etc., maybe also make another module that turns it into a mobile Ornamental Turning lathe workshop...
I'll look forward to digging more deeply in this site!
Best wishes,
Steve.

Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (W210)
Hello! My names is James and I'm a British expat living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In May 2013 I bought my first Mercedes-Benz... A naturally aspirated W210 E55 AMG. It's a Japanese import, with all it's original paperwork and in it's 13 years of existence, I am only it's 2nd owner. It had a little over 55,000 miles on the odometer when purchased. It's an amazingly comfortable daily driver, which has the power to always shock me and catch me off guard if not paying attention. I'm currently upgrading the sound system as the majority of the OE system has had its day. I'm currently in talks with a Kleemann supplier about fitting my car with the 55-K3 kit. Exciting car, exciting upgrades, and exciting times ahead. Thank you Mercedes-Benz!

Hello, My name is Celeste I have a 2010 GLK 350 4matic. I had bought the car in Nov 2012 and in Aug 2013 had to bring it in for Misfire check engine light. To only find out that the Valve Seats had problem and would not sealing. 5k job and the warranty company is not trying to cover the problem they are trying to clam there is carbon build up when the inspector clearly states there is non. I am stressed to the max is there anyone else with this issue!

Greetings, B here. Just picked up a 2002 E320......just 500 miles in to my ownership and already needed a pedal position sensor and a blower motor regulator....
I'm used to BMW's so this will be my first MB experience. It's starting rocky, but I still like it. 116k, all service records and extremely well kept.

Hello all! I'm Dylan Newbon, a 20 year old w204 owner from Yardley, PA in lovely Bucks County. I do not know too much about cars, even my car, hence the reason for me joining the forums. I can't wait to gain knowledge about MB and my car, and look forward to meeting you all. BTW, screw Vettel!
Cheers!

Hi my name is Mike I just buy a 2012 Mercedes Benz 350 GL K last year I just notice when I was trying to start it up in the morning it look like it was struggling to turn over. Not sure if it's the battery or the alternator It shouldn't be acting that way it's still a brand-new vehicle unfortunately my warranty was up a couple months ago at the dealership. Anybody have a suggestion?

Mercedes CLK 350 Convertible
Just another proud owner of a CLK 350 Cab
Hi all and maby I can get some help that im desperately seeking..
So I just recently purchased a CLK 350 2007 with 58 miles and 1 carefull lady owner!
Firstly this is quite a beautiful car and what a pleasure to drive. However after 3 months later and 25k usd.. The engin warning light has come on! Intermittently to start and now constant after only touching the cars performance.. There is a full MB SH and after diagnostic at Benz apparently the timing pullyes need to be replaced..? Is anyone aware of this problem? Im looking at a large bill to around 7k.. Will MB cover this.. Im fully insured and took extended warrantee.. I found it at a Volvo dealership tucked in the corner and just had to have it.. However wishing I went direct with MB but its a rare find and hence they cant help!
If I can get this sorted I have lots of plans including changing the steering wheel for the later AMG version.. Also want to upgrade my older style key to the new..Are the motherboards interchangeable with out having to code to car and just replace casing?
Superchip or remap of ecu is essential and any ideas for an induction kit? if I was to ditch the air intakes and fit filters would it mess with the engine management?
With the full AMG pack its quite a find and defiantly needs a louder exhaust.. AMG upgrade from manifold or just back box and remove the cat?
Otherwise im constantly thrilled with my new Benz and any answers would be very appreciated.. I love it so much I may go full on and fit the DTM kit of I think only 700 made in Cabriolet ..
Many Thanks and drive safe.. Quickly!
